Is Tim Williams a liar, or is it Bama fans?

The gumps on this board have told me and over and over that they do not stack the box against LSU. Well......
Tim Williams

You seem obsessed with everything Alabama.

There is tape available. This isn't really a matter of someone's opinion. More times than not Alabama had 7 in the box
Fournette just couldn't get out of his own head against Alabama. Reuben Foster knocking him into next week probably didn't help

I went through each LSU play before the Tide went up by 20 points in the fourth quarter. I also excluded plays in which LSU was using three or more receivers or facing third-and-long, because the threat of the run is reduced in those situations. I removed goal line, because that's a different calculus.
Uh, no. In the 16 plays examined (yes, LSU only had 45 offensive snaps), Alabama brought an extra defender into the box just six times and never brought two extra.

Yeah.
But so what? You can easily go onto YouTube and watch the highlights. We usually had six or seven guys in the box and would only stack the box with eight or nine on third and short situations.

Does it matter? Les still ran the ball regardless

Nobody said we never stacked the box. But according to Bama's coaching staff, we didn't do it very often, and when we did - it was only 8 players.
Listening to you people, you'd think we were playing with 14 players and all of them in the box at the same time.

Two points. Yeah, he is stating the obvious. In Mikes defense, LSU couldn't pass. Miles used the Tuberville approach to QBs, and only had two on the roster regardless if they could play or not. Pete Carroll brought in a 5* every year and always had open competition.
