Those Arkansas teams played differrent styles in middle of games. They would go big and then go fast. It wasnt press you to death and run all over you. They had 2 7 footers and guards that could drive and shoot.
If they win the 95 game in Seattle they would be considered a team that rivaled Georgetown Houston Duke UNLV.
Nolan lost the 95 game by not pressing Cameron Dollar out of the gym. Once Tyus Edney left, he relaxed and played not to lose.

The 06/07 teams totally dominated the ncaa tourney, which is unheard of, unless you go back to the Duke back to back run.
'96 NCAA Tournament Matchups for Kentucky
vs. San Jose State - 110-72 (38 pts)
vs. #16 Virginia Tech - 84-60 (24 pts)
vs. #10 Utah - 101-70 (31 pts)
vs. #13 Wake Forest - 83-63 (20 pts)
vs. #1 UMASS - 81-74 (7 pts)
vs. #15 Syracuse - 76-67 (9 pts)
I'd say that was pretty dominant.

Didn't they have a bigger lead on UMass and somehow they got back into it?
IIRC Padillia or Travieso couldnt get a shot off and Camby was not able to keep up.

the 2007 Florida team is one of the top 5 teams of the last 30 years
Posted on 2/15/14 at 11:57 pm to GatorsGators
Our 94-95 teams might not have had the NBA talent that these teams have but they were every bit as dominant as the 2 Florida teams.
We were talented, deep, and had unbelievable chemistry.

I believe they were down 15 or so and clawed back into it pretty late in the 2nd half. And that was a team that we weren't even supposed to beat.
Our only two losses that season were to teams that ended up in the Final Four with us and we split with both that season (UMass and MSU).

No no they arent.
85 Georgetown
91 UNLV
97 Kentucky
92 Duke
93 Michigan
93 N Carolina
Those teams were better than the UF team
You can make an argument for the Carolina team that had Carter and Jameson also.

Yeah, they were good teams, obviously, but to say they were as good as the back-to-back UF team is a stretch.
UF had one of the best frontcourts in college basketball history in 07. Two future NBA all-star bigs in Noah and Horford, as well as two more future NBA bigs in Richard and Speights.
Brewer was a great SF who could do everything well (except dribble). Humphrey was one of the best shooting specialists ever. Green could also fill it up from deep, was a heady point guard, and was clutch as nails at the foul line late.
That team had absolutely no weakness.

Oh, I see.
You're one of those guys who thinks every team post-1999 could never dare to dream of being as good as the teams of your glory days.

I am not saying they werent a great team, but to put them on the level of that Vegas or 85 Georgetown team is not correct.
They are in top 10-15 for sure, but they aren't the greatest as some are putting them.

I do wonder just how good that Mays, McCants, and Felton UNC team could've been had UNC pulled the trigger on Matt Doherty earlier.

LOL Top 10 or 15? You're the poster that said Wisconsin is an elite team this year too right?
I'm not a frickin homer but you're shortchanging the 2007 team by a alot.

I did say that earlier in the year and I also said that was at that time. And we were talking about that about a month ago when Wisconsin was ranked 4th in the nation. And they had beaten Florida.

You said that after they had 3 consecutive losses to unranked teams (Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota). Also said UF fans made excuses when explaining the 6 pt loss at Wiscy even though we were playing without 3 of our players, including Wilbekin.
