Not in the B1G Network revenue model. Footprint in the state is all that matters. The B1G set that standard!

And again, what about Okie St? The B1G taking them too?

I have no desire to play A&M ever again, not even in tiddlywinks. So we do agree on that.

100-plus years of whining bitch losers gets old.

TheCheshireHog,

How, specifically, did Texas destroy the Southwest Conference? You know, the one that limped along for three years after Arkansas left.

You answered your own question.

The Big 12 schools voted to allow schools to retain rights to third-tier programming, tantamount to allowing "individual institutional networks."

And we agreed as a conference Tier 3 was one fricking game. Then ESPN waved big money in y'alls face and y'all thought it would be easier to ask forgiveness than ask permission. And y'all were wrong about that.

THAT decision killed the Big 12.

So you insinuate that Texas forced Arkansas out of the SWC?

Arkansas left because of Texas shenanigans. Same as A&M, Nebraska and Colorado. Only Texas fans have convinced themselves of something different.

Maybe you don't. But the ratings show viewers would prefer y'all play a Thanksgiving game they care about. When a game against a possible playoff team gets WAY lower ratings than a worthless game between LSU and A&M I don't have to argue anything- we won already the hearts and minds of the people.

This is just me rubbing it in for fun.

Texas is but one vote to change or create Big 12 bylaws.

Sure. Sell that to someone who doesn't know how Texas operates politically.

Bottom line, Ut is greedy as hell. They never wanted a level playing field, or anything else that leads to conference health. They never understood that a conference is only as strong as it's weakest members. They like being the bully. Because they could care less about being in a healthy conference, as you've basically admitted in this thread.

Texas now has the conference they wanted and created. Live with it.

He's ignored that question since page 1.

I think you are confusing one conference game allowed on an institutional network with "one game overall."

Long story short, Texas did not break any Big 12 conference bylaw with how it operated on the Longhorn Network.

Specifics, please. And "shenanigans" does not include Texas handing your arse to you most of the time in football.

There are plenty of B1G alumni that live in the Dallas market and there are plenty of Oklahoma alumni in Dallas as well. That will lead to an increase in people paying for the network.

There are more B1G alumni that live in Phoenix than Pac 12 alumni. Thus, the move for the B1G to have Arizona State move to the B1G for hockey.

You are going to see the B1G to continue to "eat up" all of these smaller revenue sports and that will eventually allow for the B1G brand to spread nationally.

Nope. Y'all had the end game in mind and made sure the bylaws wouldn't prevent it. As I said, you wanted your own network and planned to force the rest of the conference to provide content for it.

Also, Arizona State is one of the largest universities in the country, if not the largest.

It isn't likely that the B1G can pull Arizona State away from the Pac 12 for football, but if Arizona State started to play more B1G teams for non-conference play, the B1G is going to get a bigger brand push in the area and more revenue.

Again, Texas was only one vote, when nine were needed with 12 teams (75 percent).

No. No you didn't. You did go back on what you informally agreed to, and then forced the Big 12 teams to leave or comply. We left.

Seems like you would appreciate that fact since you are bored with playing us. Be happy. Texas's backstabbing greed ran us off. Yay for Texas!
