I love how you question how Texas destroyed the SWC, and in doing so admit y'all destroyed the modern Big 12 for a network that brings in less than 10% of AD revenue.

The B1G already studied Oklahoma and Oklahoma would make the move in a split second since the B1G will help them increase their academic presence.

I admitted no such thing. The Big 12 is serving Texas' purpose at this point, and when it no longer does, Texas will leave or make changes.

And you can't figure out how Texas has ruined two conferences?

For example, the B1G added John Hopkins for La Crosse and and is adding Arizona State for hockey. Those schools get a piece of the pie for federal money, research resources and all of that stuff.

Oklahoma would make the move in a split second....ability to increase their academic profile, more federal money, more resources for research, etc.

Also, the number one reason why there will not be a Texas going to the B1G, at least right now, is Texas's demand that Texas Tech would have to go with. Texas Tech would never get approved to join the B1G.

And nothing happened. Maybe y'all ruined the AAU thing, but they beat their chest you were AAU when you joined.

And the "OU will move in a split second" talk ignores their Okie St. problem. Does the B1G take Okie St at 16? If not how does OU get around that? it is just like Texas's Tech problem. Texas and OU have to bring along those schools because of state politics.

Ruined two conferences, huh? First, no one gives a single concrete reason for Texas allegedly ruining the SWC.

Secondly, A&M voted for unequal revenue distribution and opposed a conference network. When Texas got a deal for its own network (something A&M thought would never happen) and A&M didn't get their unequal payout they felt they were "owed," they hauled arse. But Texas is the bad guy, huh.

I appreciate your honesty. No one is going to let you pin that Big 12 shite on us though "big bro." That is y'alls albatross. Whatever we did or didn't do didn't run CU and NU off.

That's because the first move was to grab the New York, Baltimore and Washington DC market. They got that now. So now they will make the next move.

To get the massive Oklahoma market? Bro, seriously you are smarter than that. You are blinded by a missed rivalry and shitty and boring division for NU.

Again, what about the Okie St. problem? T Boone is still alive you know.

Nebraska is another bitch that voted for unequal revenue and opposed a conference network.

Colorado jumped the gun on realignment. Maybe they are better off, but they thought they'd be left out and made their move.

They thought they would be left behind because y'all tried to negotiate that PAC 16 shite behind everyone's back. That God Chip blew that open before the concrete was set.

Keep believing Texas was innocent. No one else does. Its your network, your greed, your blame.

Everyone outside of the University of Texas is going to blame the implosion of two conferences on them. The only people that can't grasp that is the Longhorns.

LOL. Are you really this stupid? You think that Texas could have signed away the future of all those schools without any input from their boards of regents or administration? It was a fricking proposal, you turd.

I am not claiming that Texas is innocent, I am saying they are not alone. Meanwhile, the ones that acted in their interests much like Texas (i.e. voting for unequal revenue and opposing a conference network) denied, lied and fled like bitches because they were getting the short end of the very same stick they helped create.

Outside of Notre Dame or Texas, the addition of Oklahoma football to the B1G would be one of the biggest moves possible. Florida State has a great program, but they don't move the needle like Oklahoma would.

Oklahoma leads to the Dallas market as well.

Wasn't Texas downplaying the idea of a conference network for the big 12, while talking to espn about the LHN under the table? They killed the idea of the conference network out of sheer greed, all the while planning to have their own and force the rest of the conference to provide content for it!

TheCheshireHog,

How, specifically, did Texas destroy the Southwest Conference? You know, the one that limped along for three years after Arkansas left.

This is categorically false.

The Big 12 schools voted to allow schools to retain rights to third-tier programming, tantamount to allowing "individual institutional networks." That happened before the Longhorn Network deal.

Texas is but one vote to change or create Big 12 bylaws.

I know FOR A FACT that when A&M leaders asked about it after the Chip leak Texas leaders told us "don't worry, we will take care of you." It wasn't a proposal, it was meant to be a gun to the head.

And I am glad we pulled the trigger on that blank and called the bluff. frick stupid fricking patronizing Texas. Enjoy that home schedule without a Nebraska or an A&M (aka games your fanbase cares about) ever on it. I bet they really wanted to see Kansas St. and Baylor instead anyway.
