Yeah, but they don't like starting the season 0-1, which is why they ended the tradition in the first place.

This was a larger negotiation

1) Arky switched perm rivals with A&M and will get Mizzou while A&M gets SC
2) A&M-Ark series goes back to Jerryworld
3) Mizzou-Ark, A&M-LSU games end season

This ain't rocket science. You can't do the first without doing the last as neither Mizzou nor A&M would have a year-end opponent. And the 2nd was the Arkansas blood payment. The first two items have already been officially announced...

The 2014 schedule is much-anticipated because it involves new permanent rivalry partners: South Carolina and Texas A&M (with the Aggies playing in Columbia), Missouri and Arkansas.

and if you look at FBS schedules it still shows A&M-Mizzou as a game so they haven't updated it

FB Schedules is a good source but they list things that are changed all the time.

playing on Thanksgiving.

helllll no.

I've begrudgingly accepted the Friday game. But I don't want LSU to play on thanksgiving. Screw that.

I don't either, whether or not it gets extra viewers the crowd isn't the same when the game is on Thursday or Friday... but the Saturday game option has been seemingly taken off the table because of television viewership.

At some point this kind of thinking has consequences tho - why should people go to the games when they are scheduled inconveniently for travel and its all about the television?

it still will not be rolled out until the playoff system starts, they will need set schedules until that happens, and if Jeff Long did not get the Bama game moved in order to accommodate this then I will stick my foot straight up his arse. Bama gets better as the year goes on and we need to catch them earlier instead of later. I would trade LSU all day long for a move Bama game and Jerry world. That would be acceptable.

So don't go then.

More home field advantage for us. Aggies are used to a Thanksgiving game.

I'm just saying, a lot of the football game experience is better with television anyway. LSU and SEC officials shouldn't be surprised when they keep raising prices and otherwise making television a better option.

I know many of you Aggies have husbands dancing on the sidelines but the rest of us have family eating Thanksgiving at home that day

Playoff starts after the 2014 regular season. Jan. 1, 2015 is the date of the semi-finals.

We travel rather well. If y'all don't fill up TS, there will be a lot of maroon in Death Valley.

Can't allow that, I'm afraid.
