Is the A&M schedule change a done deal?

Les Miles on the U did not seem so confident, saying that the schedule is not his concern that he plays the teams one game at a time. I really wanted him to speak Australian but he would not.

So, is the TAMU vs LSU Black Friday game a done deal or will it remain the same as long as Arkansas remains competitive throwing out last season?

Maybe LSU and Arkansas should start a new tradition by playing the season opener against each other

so they will be moving Alabama up and moving LSU towards the middle of the schedule, when does this happen not this year, the next and maybe not even in the third year. Is it 4-5 years from now?

Wasn't that LSU's tradition with aTm?

Of course LSU plays the majority of their games during the day now, so tradition means nothing to them.

Yeah, but they don't like starting the season 0-1, which is why they ended the tradition in the first place.

I think so. I think LSU and A&M did that for a few years during their ten game series a while back.

FWIW I could see the argument for LSU/A&M renewing that tradition or playing on Thanksgiving... whichever option isn't used LSU could do the other against Arkansas

I'd personally prefer to open the season with LSU. But it's really not possible as Mizzou-A&M is no longer a permanent game that could be played on Tday weekend. Both schools traditional opponents have pussed out so something has to be done. Having two real rivalry games that weekend instead of none as it currently stands makes a ton more sense anyway

LSUsports.net shows a grand total of three games on the 2014 schedule.

helllll no.

I've begrudgingly accepted the Friday game. But I don't want LSU to play on thanksgiving. Screw that.
