The SEC needs Les Miles. Most SEC coaches look like they are trying to pass a baby size kidney stone all the time.

I like his style and he's probably one of those coaches who can go from funny to kick-arse in a split second. Keeps the players on their toes.

Coaching in the SEC is painful and it shows on some coaches faces, Les takes it in stride and appears to enjoy the hell out of it.

It's virtually impossible for any rival fan to hate Les Miles.

Agreed. I cannot see why any rival fan would dislike the guy.

I like him and think he is one of the classier head coaches in division 1

Good grief. Now Miles is criticized for being too happy?

Man, some of you dipshits need to grow up. Miles wins at an 80% clip and has proven that he can beat the best in College Football. Are any of you dolts looking at the class Miles is putting together?

If the worst that Miles has done is go 8-5 last year with a team full of inexperienced Freshmen and Sophomores then we should be thanking our lucky stars. Some of you morons are just too stupid to believe.

I agree with you 100% always felt that this is the reason LSU lose close games they should win.

How do all of you feel about Saban and the way that most of you do not actually believe he is a human-being because he doesn't smile, laugh, giggle, and guffaw 24-7?

Do you think it's fair or normal the way the press and rival fan-bases have made him out to be a horrible, mean, unforgiving, terribly cruel person just because he doesn't laugh constantly?

You know, some men are just serious when they are doing their work and laugh and enjoy themselves during their recreation time.

Regardless of the perception that has been sold to everyone, he does seem to have many friends, players really like him, other coaches respect him, and he has had a faithful wife for decades.

So was the point of this thread attacking Miles to defend Saban? I'm sure there's a lot more to both of them that the fans do not see. As there is with any coach.

Les is awesome!

When I grow up -I'm only 48- I hope to be Less Miles. Makes a ton of money doing what he loves and is pretty damned good at it. All while keeping life in perspective.

Plus, without Les, there would be no Lesisms to quote. That would be a sad day.

You're absolutely right: Les needs to step it up and turn into a mirthless crotchety a-hole like oh I don't know your HC.

Typical bama fan that takes bama football way too seriously. How many Crimson A's are on your pickup?
