That's possible. I didn't buy any pre-season mags this year. They are ALWAYS wrong. (Or seem to be! )

But what the media says is hardly Dobbs fault....just like people hated Tebow because the media hyped his faith so much. Wasn't his fault. (I realize he "Tebowed"....but nobody would have known that had the media not put it in the spotlight all the time. The only people that would have known he did that was people at the game that happened to be looking at him after a TD.)

Dobbs is not the kind of QB whose real value shows up on stat sheets. He's a playmaker. He wills his team to win and when he gets in the zone there's no one better. But most important, he just wins.

well if it weren't for the stat sheet, he would have nothing to offer at all. From what I have watched of him this year, he has looked consistently shaky, and has been a terrible decision maker

Don't know what games you've watched but Dobbs had zero decision making issues last season. Nor was he shaky. Our offense was great last year.

Dude, chill. I misread - haven't had all my coffee just yet.

As for this season, you'd be a bit shaky if your OL was letting guys come from not only both tackle spots but also up the interior. And yet despite that, he threw for 70 percent completion on Saturday.

I will give you this....his decision making has been much shakier this year. I am wondering if he is pressing due to the hype around the team.

5 against Va Tech who has the #2 defense in the country, but no big deal.

Virginia Tech's defensive stats are padded by having played the Vols.

It's the OL. He never knows where pressure is going to come from and it's made him antsy - he's hurried some passes that had he taken more time on would've been completions because he's anticipating the OL breaking down. When/if that gets fixed he'll go back to being regular Dobbs.

Or or or or, had they played UF's schedule, would they be an overwhelming #1 ranked defense?

So far, we're the only team that did anything against them offensively.

Like I said tho, none of this matters, we're gonna lose to Florida because we fricking suck.

So what's the problem. they are a veteran unit, are they not? Is it coaching? You guys have been recruiting well....I think the OL was a bit of a problem last year, too, but I would have thought it would be solid this year.
