Comparing Auburn to Notre Dame? ND is the most known program in college football history. Auburn struggles to be relevant north of Montgomery unless they're top five.

So the difference in the fan bases is the size and popularity of both?

No, but it factors into most of the trash in the state gravitating toward Alabama.

Come on, I love me some tOSU. The little t is the biggest mark of arrogance and self-importance in college sports this side of "We're Texas."

The t makes it so much more satisfying when tOSU craps tBed against yet another team.

Because screw them really. Bama might have the worst sidewalk fans, but tOSU by far have the most entitled fans in the nation.

It really does upset that that we view them differently.

They view us differently, but we don't care.

Its just a misnomer. tOSU would imply its the best school in the state, which is a joke in itself. The accurate representation is that its an Ohio State University.

No Alabama fan is denying the fact that we have our share of embarrassing fans. What I dispute is Auburn acting like they don't have many when in reality, there are just as many in Columbus, GA as there are Alabama trash. We have more extreme cases, but both bases are surrounded by trashy fans. Why do Auburn fans deny that?

Auburn is one of the poorest universities in the conference, ranked below Alabama in most every measure, its AD runs a deficit and has to beg people to buy season tickets. They have to create the false image to make themselves feel better, and because Alabama overshadows them in everything they do. It's not a new thing either, that inferiority complex was established long ago when UA was set up as the flagship and AU was set up as a farm/tractor school.

Funny thing is you always see gumps saying the fanbases are similar, everyone has their share of trash, etc.

You rarely see Aubies saying the fanbases are similar. We don't want to be associated with Uat in any way at the end of the day.

LOL at the Aubs who think they are any different from Bama fans.

Let me let you in on a little secret here: You're both from Alabama.

Lived in Mobile for 10 years. Most of my family lives there and I've visited frequently my whole life. A sociology thesis could be written. I suppose it has to do with what hobby one is passionate about.
