I'll play your game:

DEs Marlon Davidson and Jeff Holland (I would not take another duo in the country over these two. People aren't talking about Holland as much, but he will be top 2-3 in sacks in the SEC this year.)

DT Derrick Brown is going to dominate, and the DT rotation is deep without much dropoff

LB Tre Williams is one of the best in the country. Deshaun Davis and company are very solid as well.

Auburn's defense is better. It will be shown throughout the year. Derwin James is a bad man, but he doesn't make a whole team.

Bama fans only want FSU defense to sound so good because BAma's offense just sucks. It's ok man, it's over now.

Auburn didn't give up 60 pts to Louisville and we had a top 10 scoring Defense last year. We actually beat Lamar Jackson the last time we played them as well. FSU defense is Average at best, with solid talent. 6 teams scored over 30 pts on FSU and they lost to UL,Clemson and UNC.

FSU is nowhere close to a top 10 defense period.

Your offense sucked stop reaching.

He's top 5. Why do people feel the need to thump their chest over something that you can't prove. He's really fing good, but is he better then the DC at Clemson, or Don Brown who had the #1 defense at fing Boston College 2 years ago?

I think FSU has a better front than almost anyone Bama will play in the regular season (at least), but I do think their DC is better than FSU's and it isn't close

To you Aubs and L6ers... why do y'all keep bringing up last season?? I'm talking about THIS year THIS FSU team. Bama fans can see that this was one of the best overall defenses we've played in a long while. Even those good L6 Ds where we usually just become a more conservative team by nature of that game anyway.

L6's and Aub's defenses will be very good I'm sure.. I just don't think they're better than FSU's D this year.. that's ok right? lol.

The fact that we allowed -5 rushing yds last game without our most notable player should tell you everything you need to know.

Sweat was a top 5 player coming out, will be a first rounder. Matthew Thomas was a top 10 player coming out, will flirt with the first round. McFadden and James, also top ten players coming out. I don't think people grasp how much talent Jimbo has stockpiled at Florida State. From an athlete perspective we won't see another defense like Florida state this season except in practice. Their back 7 is a bunch of big, rangy athletes.

That's not to say other teams won't limit Alabama offensively, they will. We just aren't going to see 11 better athletes lining up across from us this season.

Last year, LSU's D gave up 10 points to Bama, and ZERO until the 4th quarter. Clemson's D gave up 31. Yeah. Aranda is better.

of course they can. Your offense was inept. Jalen is not a qb, he is an RB. Try to pimp FSU all you want, the proof will rise to the top over the season. They will lose 3 games and will give up many points along the way

You gave up 30 pts and 501 yards to Alabama.

Maybe, but that inept offense with a RB at QB had 500 yards against Auburn's defense last year.

So, that reinforces my belief that LSU = FSU and Auburn is a step below both.

you mean against the Jeremy Johnson led AU team that probably set a record for 3 and outs? Not seeing the relevance.

You should check the FSU offensive box score then, specifically the 2nd half. You should also check the LSU offensive box score from 2016. They both faced almost the same circumstance and never broke.

So, again, FSU=LSU, Auburn not in the same tier.

Also, Alabama had 159 yds in the 1st qtr and 257 yards at the half against Auburn. Don't act like it was all after the Auburn defense got exhausted.

I'm still not seeing what any of this means in regard to FSU not being better than AU this year. Bama's offense was bad last week, so was FSU's. Auburn's defense will prove to be better this year.

Auburn 2016 and FSU 2017 both had similar offensive struggles. One defense was beaten consistently from the first whistle while the other kept their team in the game and never broke.

But yeah FSU is trash and Auburn is great. Clearly.

Bama also knew they didn't have to score 30 points to beat LSU last year. Bama knew they had to put points up on Clemson so they came out way more aggressive in their approach.
