We have all around better football facilities than OM.

After this season we will be as talented, if not more talented than OM from top to bottom. We're about even now. Remember, Rebelettes, talent only matters on the field and we take the egg back in 2015.

The narrative that Starkville is terrible, is largely, and disproportionately conjured up and advertised as such by OM fans. Historically it my be more fitting, but not today, as Starkville is improving and new construction is about to be booming. Several projects are breaking ground and in planning phases.

Mullen will even the score vs Freeze in 2015, as mentioned above.

Thank you for your interest in our program.

Home and home with blue blood Texas Boise state was going to BCS bowls when we scheduled them. They still won their conference and 10 wins last year Clemson backed out on us this year Florida state to open next year.

Don't forget to add in 10 win Memphis team also.

It's also very tough for a team like State to play in the West. Comparing Georgia is ludicrous or any team in the east. If Missouri beats y'all's asses, imagine what State would do in the East.

Starkville is the most undesirable road trip in this conference and that's not debatable. I made a complimentary thread towards the best coach in the history of your (.488 all-time winning percentage) program and you turned it around and want to shite on it.

Probably. The home team normally fares well in the Egg Bowl

Obviously he does have the talent moron. Look at all the State players in the NFL. MSU gets good players just like everybody else. State has the best player in college football coming back for his senior season...Dak Prescott. LSU didnt get him and they didnt get Josh Robinson either. Your theory is flawed, stereotyped, and archaic.

Eh... it's probably because I didn't know anyone outside of the 4 people I went with but Knoxville was not fun at all when I went there in 2010. Starkville isn't horrible but it's not great either.

Patronizing, more likely. But it's still funny because no matter how much Starkville changes in the near future, it'll always the same lame story with dickheads like you.

As for Mullen, who the frick knows how he would fair at other places. But there are other coaches in the league that could match, or exceed Mullen's success at MSU. What makes Mullen different is his recruiting style (the eye test), his loyalty and sense of family. That goes a long way with me.

Coaches that are without a doubt better:

Gus
Saban

Coaches that are better with 93% certainty:

Richt
Miles
Bert
Pinkel

His loyalty & sense of family? Ask some former DC & Asst Coaches if they'd agree? Hell, just ask Chris Jones....seems like he may be looking to the North for that

I'll say this about Mullen, he can come across as abrasive and some won't like him, but I don't give a shite as long as he wins. There were rumors that Jackie spoke to him about "greener pastures" when he got interested after the Michigan victory. He and his wife are invested in Starkville and the state of MS through their foundation that helps needy kids of the state. They focus on healthcare, education, athletic programs and the arts. The Foundation also created a Champions Club that will fund scholarships to students throughout their entire collegiate careers at a Mississippi institution of their choice. For all those so called negatives about Starkville and MS, it looks like our ROI on him is pretty damn good.

YOu have absolutely no way of knowing that. He was a great OC, and has been a good HC at a lower tier program. Nobody has any idea how he'll do at HC of a major program.

Better? Lol. The only difference would be talent to work with.

The last coach to leave State with a winning overall record was Darrell Royal in 1955
