I am surprised he got out alive out of Hoover last week. He has both fanbases in Alabama all over his arse with the continuing of camgate and the Ttown mensweargate. looks like he has molded his new website from TMZ. Personally I think he is a big douche.

I really enjoyed his work for CBS Sports.

I don't dislike him really (as long as you're an equal opportunity muckraker that's fine by me) but I think he is trying to become a sort of more "legit" version Sports by Brooks.

Now the bammers are jumping all over him, last week he was a solid journalist (Cam suit story). At least most AU fans still think he is a hack, a hack that discovered one hell of a story.

I honestly like Clay and think he's really funny.
If you do some research though, you know he's a really big UT fan. He used to have a website called Deadly Hippos and talked about the UT games on there all the time.
As Paul has pointed out, he's not an investigative journalist. He is TMZ/Perez Hilton whatever you want to call it. He's being fed this stuff from somebody else.
That being said, with a lot of the TMZ stuff, there is always a little bit of truth. It's just up to the readers and America to overreact and ramp the story up.

based on what you are saying he found a niche in the market. cannot fault a guy for wanting to make money .
