Pearl is a very good coach.I'd take him in a heart beat

Why? Anderson is rebuilding at a reasonable rate. Pearl rebuilds quickly, but leaves a devastating wake when he moves on.
Not sure why anyone would want any part of that.
We had that experience with Petrino. Don't want to do that again.

Not even close. Rick Barnes and Roy Williams deserve the most discussion in this area. It's absolutely criminal Barnes only made one Final Four with all that talent he had.

As far as Roy, he inherited the talent for his first national title and that whole academic fraud scandal deserves to be a shadow on his legacy.

I think Pearl is one of the Top 20 coaches in the country. The fact he has a Top 10 recruiting class at Auburn is phenomenal and recruiting is the most important part of the job.

His shitty press is easily broken and his offense is horrible. I have no clue what he runs. Some sort of motion offense? Either way it looks bad.
He got lucky at Tennessee by inheriting some elite talent that overcame his lack of coaching skills.

If all this is true why the frick does the following matter.

He couldn't leave it any worse than he found it.

That's because you can't replace a guy that good.

A really dumb statement if you know the history of Auburn basketball.

Saban is 75% recruiter and 25% coach. I will definitely agree.

I disagree. It's amazing that he's won as many games as he has with our roster, especially with the injuries. I don't think a "shitty everyday coach" could've pulled that off.

Haha. Fox has a worse roster of talent. I think we have a couple 2* and that's it.

So Pearl is making a run in the tournament with 1 player. It's a Cinderella story. How cute.

You can have Dennis Felton as your coach too. Just sayin
