I only see 3 games that if I were a Bama fan I would consider disappointments. Dayton, Mercer and Tulane. And didn't you guys have some kids out with injuries in December? I could be wrong. Hasn't he also taken Bama from no post season tourney, to the NIT championship game to the NCAA tourney to possibly the NCAA tourney a 2nd year in a row? I'd call that improvement each year.

At Auburn is a pretty terrible loss. Big disappointment.

It's a disappointment because it's a rival. From the outside looking in, the fact it's a rival game and the fact it's on the road, it isn't as terrible as one might think. Not good, but not terrible.

Grant hasn't recruited well at all. Don't tell me Pollard was a 5*. As a coach/recruiter you are supposed to be able to watch tape and go see these guys and determine which ones to bring in and which ones to lay off. Randolph is another cluster frick. The second problem Grant has is that these players aren't developing much. His one positive is that his teams always compete and play hard. The same cant be said for Gottfrieds teams.

It was also terrible because they scored 37 fricking points, or whatever it was. That was a horrendous loss. Worse than the other ones you listed.

No I would rather have had the West Virgina coach or a few others, but he is building the team in they right way.

Wimp was a defensive coach also ,we just lack a few quality big men. Put LSUs center on this team and we are a force.

Big men that are good all go to Duke m Florida ,North Carolina etc etc.

We should never lose to Mercer or Tulane at home.

We should be 21-8 and almost a lock.

Tenn game was big as was LSU but we were in the games on the road so I cant fault his coaching there.

One more year and he needs to win at least 22 in regular season.

I'll put it this way. When outsiders talk about the SEC not being very good at basketball, it's because of losses to teams like Mercer and Tulane. Not because one conference member lost to another conference member on the road. Road conference games can be tough regardless who you play. Ask kU.

Florida wanted Grant after their coach flirted with the NBA. UF could of had a number of coaches, but wanted Grant.

Alabama isn't doing that bad. They're not great, but I think the team will improve.

Really, I have no idea who UA could get that would be so much better.

Is it easier to win at a mid-major like VCU than Bama? Grant got to the NCAA Tourney two years in a row with VCU and then recruited the core guys that made the Final Four run with Shaka Smart. I'm not saying Grant is the reason they made the Final Four run, but he definitely laid the foundation.

Did gumps really think they had a chance to walk away with a win at Florida, after we had lost to TN, with the SEC title on the line, with a team of juniors and seniors who have been to two elite eights in a row, and just got all their players back from injury? Really, you are questioning your coach after a Florida loss?

Alabama has had some bad luck re: injury timing, but when you see them play they look like a very well coached team. Your players have been developing well, and have not gotten into trouble. You cannot do better than coach Grant. Be patient, Rome wasn't built in a day.

Wimp was 10x the coach grant is. I like grant but if he fricks up next year he's out. I expect at least second round of the big dance. Anything less and it's time to start looking at replacements.

Alabama was producing a hell of a lot of better in-state talent when Wimp was coaching.

Bama has two big men coming next year. They must have good inside play. Grant is a class guy. Give him a year.

(then hire B Pearl).
