Arkansas - 100th
Tennessee - 97th
Taking out Bama, these offenses are:
Virginia Tech - 6th
Texas A&M - 1st
Colorado State - 7th
Ole Miss - 2nd
Georgia State - 3rd
Kentucky - 5th
Arkansas - 120th
Tennessee - 4th
It's totally the Bama effect that these offenses are ranked so low guys! Roll Tide!

So not only is Alabama #1, they are #1 by an insanely large margin.
And we were something around 1/3 of the average.

Arkansas isn't holding up their end of the deal. Get with it Razorbacks....

I think he's trolling.
I don't think Texas A&M would rise from 3 to 1 by sheding a 638 yard game.

Take that game away, and they've lost 4 games in 4 years by a combined total of 12 points.
That's truly insane.
Crazy. I think going back to 2009 LSU averages right at -7 points in our losses. So many close games.. we are terirble at winning close games. Especially post-season, where we suck arse over the last 4 years.

They are loaded with talent at every position, the only way a team can disrupt them is with a wildcard QB like Manziel, other than that, it is very tough.

The short answer would be no. But I have questions myself as to how good they really are.
I'm relatively certain about two things: (a) this defense has improved week-by-week, maybe better than any of the teams Saban has fielded, and (b) Since the A&M game, Bama has amassed 246 points, while giving up only 26. That's hard to do if you're playing air.

There seems to definitely have been vast improvements throughout the year. Watching the first few games of the season, I thought UA was in for 2-3 losses because of defense/o-line play.
While what Bama has done in the past few games in terms of D has been phenomenal, I'm just anxious to see what they're capable of doing against a serviceable QB. There just isn't much to go on. Nov. 9th should tell us how dominant this UA team is.

Is Alabama's defense overrated?
Haven't read the whole thread, and maybe Alabama's defense is "overrated." I will throw this out there though - since 2008 these are Alabama national rankings in scoring / total defense year by year:
2008: 7th / 3rd
2009: 2nd /2nd
2010: 3rd / 5th
2011: 1st / 1st
2012: 1st / 1st
2013: 1st / 5th
These numbers are insane and perhaps unprecedented.
I don't know about anyone else, but I'm starting to see a trend that says Alabama's defenses are really good year in and out. I don't think this year is much different.

Going for a sixth consecutive season in leading the SEC in total and scoring defense, but please think they're overrated.
I'm betting you think that if an opposing fan thinks they are overrated on a message board, it will somehow translate into Bama sneaking up on their team?

Which brings me to my next point: Will Gus overlook Bama?

Dude seriously? That guy gets laser focused OM the team up next. No chance of that happening. If Auburn loses it will because Bama is the better team, not because they were overlooked.
