As a Bama fan, I wish I could say yes.

But the Yankees are #1. The Cowboys up there too.

UCLA's 9 in a row is amazing but they're not even considered the best basketball program.

Celtics won more in a row but Lakers are a better program over the long haul.

Bama has elite dynasties as the top team in the country in the 20s, 30s, 40s, 60s, 70s, and 2010s. Also won a Natty and conference titles in the 90s. It's pretty unrivaled, really only the Yankees have that kind of longevity.

Yankees, Lakers, UCLA are all better.

I think for the most part the 20s, 30s, and 40s "dynasties" are all fabricated

I don't think anyone will ever top the Yankees - or if they do, it's still got a long time before accomplishing the feat.

Not reading through 7 pages of crap to see if this has already been posted, but the Celtics under Bill Russell won 11 NBA titles in 13 seasons.

In popular culture its firmly the Yankees and the Crimson Tide football for dynasties.

No one else is really in that discussion, and I'm not really sure anyone can achieve that kind of status anymore as its so tied up in history rather then just being good on the field.

There's lots of good teams that run below the cultural radar LSU baseball, Arkansas Track, etc..., but none will achieve that iconic status. UCLA basketball is certainly remarkable for Wooden's run, but it was a fairly compact run and they certainly have never been that good before or since. Kentucky, Duke, Kansas, and UNC been consistent in basketball but haven't been consistent champions

The Lakers aren't even the iconic NBA team, that's the Celtics.

If you live on the West Coast, the Laker's are the iconic team.

Truthfully probably 4th to Notre Dame and the Boston Celtics.
