you know I've been kind of nice tip toeing around things you obviously had no clue about historically thus far but if you keep ignoring the obvious fact that I know what I'm talking about I might have to rethink that.

South Americans like soccer? Brazil has made every final? 32 teams I. the World Cup? wow! poor little old me had no idea! thanks for letting me know! I wonder what it's like there.

Iowa wrestling is the single most dominant team in any D1 NCAA sport in history. 23 titles..streaks of 7 and 9 in a row..all in recent history.

Kenyon College in Ohio has 31 D3 Swimming and Diving championships (streak of 30 in a row)

UCLA Basketball under John Wooden, Bama approaching the UCLA status.

Saban has brought BAMA to the elite level in college athletics

Lets see... Alabama might be in the top 10, maybe. Depends on how you look at it. Alabama isn't even #1 in college football NC. They are 3rd. So crunch the data and some "Objective" analyst tell us...

Professional Sports Big 3:

NFL -
Steelers - 6 wins vs. 2 Losses since 1975
Cowboys - 5 wins vs. 3 Losses since 1972
49'ers - 5 wins vs. 1 Loss since 1982

NBA -
Celtics - 17 wins vs. 4 losses since 1950
Lakers - 16 wins vs. 15 losses since 1949
Bulls - 6 wins vs. 0 Losses since 1991

MLB -
Yankees - 27 wins vs. 13 Losses since 1903
Yankees - 17 wins vs. 13 Losses since 1950
St.Louis - 11 wins vs. 8 Losses since 1931

College Sports Big 3:

College Football -
Princeton - 28 wins
Yale - 27 wins
Alabama - 16 wins
Michigan - 11 wins
Notre Dame - 11 wins
USC - 11 wins

College Basketball -
UCLA - 11 wins
Kentucky - 8 wins
Duke - 5 wins
Indiana - 5 wins
North Carolina - 5 wins

College Baseball -
USC - 12 wins
LSU - 6 wins
Texas - 6 wins

Ok, well my point was, is Alabama even in the top ten for just the Big 3 sports. I realize it said "Sports Program in History". It's a Yes or No question, but you can seek out the greatest sports program's in history if you want, but I am answering the question with a simple No based on just the information I have found. They would be 3rd just in college football, much less The Pro Big 3 and College Baseball/Basketball.

Sometimes we forget to never argue with a Bama fan. They will beat you down with arrogant entitlement and most certainly Alzheimers about anything outside the last 7-8 years and outside of Bama's world view.

If college football only had a handful of programs to compete against, like MLB, I'm sure we'd have more than 27 titles. We are second to no one.

Yeah but all of the programs they compete against are elite. A huge majority of college programs are just taking up space. Bama just basically has to compete with 7 to 9 other good programs every year.

You are not second. Top 5 for sure, maybe even number 3.

I would put the Yankees over you for sure, and Boston Celtics.

fROM 1984 - 2000 Arkansas dominated Track and field and won 16 Indoor NC's, 11 Outdoor NC's and 9 Cross country NC's.

So the answer is not really no, it would fall between hell no and nowhere in the fricking ballpark.

FWIW, Oklahoma State wrestling trumps Iowa wrestling. 34 championships to Iowa's 23.

No. Not even the best college football program in history. Notre Dame has more wins, higher winning percentage.

At least 5 of Bama's "national championships" are BS.
