The team? Most likely taking it serious.
The fans? No not really.

No they won't. Bama wins easily. like 40-16 easy

I think UW could hang tight for 3 quarters and the score still end up like that, with Bama scoring 3 TDs in the 4th.

explain two years ago with all the marbles on the line against Ohio State where a third string QB ate their lunch and Zeke streaked down the field with regularity?

On paper, Bama was a superior team.

Games are not played on paper. Ohio St. was the best team in America in 2014. Urban and his staff outcoached Saban and his staff too. It happens. It is ok to lose a game to the national champs bro. Get real....

Eta that Zeke is a beast. Unlike Leonard, Zeke was good enough to dominate good to great defenses. We didn't beat ourselves and we didn't by any means overlook Urban freaking Meyer and Ohio St.

This is the closest thing we will have seen to what Ooe Miss and Chad Kelly were doing at the beginning of the year so I'm definitely concerned. Especially with Shaun Dion Hamilton out, though Evans has really balled out this year. And man Hootie has been great in relief of Eddie Jackson and I just hope that continues.

I go back to the Alabama Ohio State game for my concerns.

tOSU's Coach Herman had a very good offensive plan. Theye also took advantage of Kiffins passing by doubling Amari Cooper.
Ohio state had very good players, good coaching and a freak athlete at QB, one of the best runningbacks, that made their previous offensive game tapes unusable. Herman and Meyers had a month to get things down pat. Bama danced with the girl that got em there. Blakes two interceptions hurt. Good scouting on Ohio States part.

It reminded me of Kaepernick coming in for San Fransisco in the playoffs. They may not have won the season running the plays they did in the playoffs but it was hard to prepare for and very effective.
Harbaugh made the change and fired his OC. It may not have been sustainable for a season but it won them the Super Bowl.
I'd like to think if Peterson has some good plays designed to hurt our defense, he underestimates our players instincts and we blow up a few new/trick plays that could turn the game. If he gets us on our heels, Kiffin may try to show he's more creative than Peterson. Hopefully Saban shuts down any fancy twirly bird plays.

Against Ohio State we just got out coached and out played. I hope we are ready for Washington.
Yes I'm concerned, but I still do not believe the SEC is as down as many make it out to be. Balanced and a few teams like UT that under performed, even may have given up at the end.
Each SEC team is still littered with outstanding players. When they show up to win it's usually a dog fight.
Bama's secondary will need to play well. The linebackers will need to not get tricked. Offense can't turn the ball over.

I hope our players are not overlooking UW, but as a fan, no I am not even the slightest bit concerned. I would be completely astonished if Washington won. I don't see any position group UW has that Bama can't exploit. UW has a solid QB who plays badly against good D's.

He doesn't prepare the team well when there is nothing on the line. They don't have that problem this year.

lol ... osu had finished 4th, 2nd and 3rd in recruiting prior to that year they won it all ... and 11th the year before ... there's not a large difference between the top 4-6 recruiting teams in terms of talent, if any ... they played a better game and won ... hardly surprising ... osu is as blueblood as it gets and was not on some lengthy decline in talent or performance ... they had an off year without tressel, but were one of the top 5 teams every year for ten years before that ...

keep pumping the narrative that saban wins because of talent alone ...

I have Bama with the highest amount of confidence points in my bowl pool. I think they win by 24+.
