You say this, but Sark had a 1000 yard rusher in each of his years there.

Because we had no RB depth, so it was all one guy.
Only once in Sark's 5 years there were we ranked in the top 55 in the country in rushing attempts per game.

Sark's all about the bubble screens and throwing the ball. It will honestly look very similar to Kiffin.

I don't really have a problem then. 3 Conference Titles and 3 playoff appearances, with a shot at back to back Natty's.

Yeah, obviously it's working. Just if your fans are upset with not running the ball as much as they would like to, that's not going to change under Sark.

When you are complaining about not running the ball enough on the way to multiple national titles, you know you have it good.

Not an automatic W at all.

Washington is a very talented very well coached team. They will bring it.

I doubt Bama coaches or players are taking UW lightly or are over confident.

I'm concerned, but confident. I think Bama's defensive front is the main difference maker.

So explain two years ago with all the marbles on the line against Ohio State where a third string QB ate their lunch and Zeke streaked down the field with regularity?

On paper, Bama was a superior team.

I've screamed RUN THE DAMN BALL KIFFIN so much that it's a common chant for me and the fans in my area of the stadium.

But in reality, WTF should I be complaining about as a UA alum/fan? It falls on deaf ears when non-Bama fans hear me bitch and complain.

Maybe, but probably not by very much...certainly not to the degree of this year's match-up.

OSU had real studs all over the field.

I'm sure you wouldn't understand, but this is a semi-final playoff game vs a P5 conference champion. They are coached by one of the best college coaches in the business today. This is no automatic W.

I think anyone who isn't concerned about Peterson is a fool. The guy is a hell of a coach, especially when he has time to prepare. Also Jalen has been a star for us but he's still a true freshman so there's no guarantee that he won't make some mistakes that will cost us. If we screw around on offense in the first half like we have the last few games, Washington could very well take advantage.

Naturally, I'm thinking about 2014 UK basketball or the 2007 Patriots. Plenty of teams were told they were the best ever only to get upset at the end. Alabama should win but we aren't invincible and no way will the Washington game resemble the Michigan State game.

Yes and No, If they are able to throw the ball efficiently it could get interesting but i do not see them being able to block our d line or being able to stop our rushing game.
long answer. not really
short answer. no

2 years ago, we were running LBs out there that were bumping 260 and DL in the 320+ range. Ohio State went tempo and stayed in the same personnel and those boys got gassed. We also suffered a couple of injuries in the LB and SS positions that put talented but far less experienced guys on the field. Finally, Kiffin forgot how to call a run and we fell behind and Sims threw a couple of picks and we played from behind the rest of the night.

Saban and staff made it a priority to change the defense and I believe they have with the way he recruits and the kids he puts on the field.

KiwiHead believes this 2016 Bama defense is the same as 2014 & 2015. It doesn't realize that Saban evolved that defense just like he evolved the offense.

Jalen screwed up vs. Florida it cost us a couple field goals.

Have people forgotten we have one of the top all-time college defenses?

We don't give up many points.

Saban will not let that happen...even if Bama wins by 30pts he will find something that needs improvement

I love our defense but we have exactly been playing prolific offenses.

This is true, but that defense has shown an ability to man handle olines in this conference. They disrupt a QBs rhythm and timing, they wear down the opponent.

Then in the 2nd half when our offense finally gives the D a shot to get back on the field after they're rested, those boys feast.
