If this happened, why would anyone ever care about beating Saban again? He will just pull some strings and get a rematch until he beats you. "Oh, we beat Alabama? I'll go ahead and chalk up an L for the bowl game."

If they ran that same poll question on a national site or a paper outside of Alabama, bet you they get a drastically different response. Its only lukewarm in Bama.

Sorry LSU's postseason is irrelevant no matter what

So a BCS bowl that isn't the national title game has become relevant? Got it.

Auburn > Bama

We don't need a rematch to prove this. It's already been settled. Poor Gumps

Well if you would read the two posts you would understand that was a reference to Bama going to an irrelevant BCS bowl game as LSU is also going to an irrelevant lower bowl game. Neither is relevant. Although I didn't think you would follow the logic.

I'm against it because I think it dilutes the importance of the Iron Bowl since it wouldn't really add any element like playing for a national championship.

It would only be replaying the Iron Bowl
(even if I think it would be nice to have at least one watchable BCS game for change).

However, if it were next year and they met in the 4 team playoff, it'd be as exciting a match-up as you could get.

Another chance for bama to rewrite history. They didn't deserve it in 2011, they don't deserve it now. Only 360 more days and you will get your chance.

Yeah, that poll on AL.com is really scientific.

You think maybe, juuuussssttttt maybe, there were a whole lot more Gump fans answering that poll than non-Gump fans?

You had your shot. You lost. Now, go play in a bowl game against some inferior team from the Big 12 or something.

Actually I hope you get beat by 30 in the SECCG or that Ohio State and Florida State make the natuinal championship. My disdain for Auburn is only slightly less than Bama.

I am not anti-Bama or pro Auburn. I am anti Gump retards who spent the entire year trying to derail every thread and turn it into a Bama thread. Its been nice around here since the loss as it has cut the knucklehead traffic way down.

I do not want it. I want Clemson in the Orange or if AU doesn't choke in the SECCG or get screwed in the BCS I want Baylor in the Sugar.

Either way UA is in BCS bowl.

If it happens, I'd probably go.

I'd much rather have it in Pasadena.

Let's face it--even if we beat Auburn like a drum in the Sugar Bowl, it doesn't mean much. We walk away with no SEC title, no BCS title, and AJ didn't win the Heisman.

It would be, basically, a moral victory. There is no situation which would allow for Alabama to win the AP title, either. If there are two, 1-loss teams in the title game, Alabama is in it.
