How the hell did the Indy bowl get jumped by the PapaJohnsBowl, Music City Bowl, Houston Bowl, and whatever bowl will start next year?

It doesn't matter. Everybody wants a piece of the SEC, and it's not often that all SEC slots are filled. I'd much rather watch a down ACC team than a MAC or Sun Belt team filling that slot.

This year's Indy Bowl with next years tie-ins would have been Air Force vs. Florida St. Much better than last year's N. Illinois-La. Tech match up.

I was at the Indy Bowl when LSU played Michigan State. Yes Shreveport is boring and is a Deep Fried Pleasantville, and North LA is well the Deep South with all its charms and warts.

I hope the Indy Bowl survives, It's been around for 30 years and used to be a joke, but the people of Shreveport support it, back when it was at-large v. at-large. I actually think the I bowl would be better off with a tie to either the C-USA and MWC or even gulp the Sun-Belt or MAC if it can't get the SEC or Big 12.

I thought the gator bowl was stepping in to take the place of Indy bowl?

This is the correct answer.

LINK

The Indy bowl was tired of the SEC scraps so they did not re-up with the SEC. Trading the Indy Bowl for the Gator Bowl is a good thing; losing a game against the Big XII isn't that great. Do we really need 3 SEC-Big Ten matchups on New Year's Day?

I thought that this game was expunged from college football records due to the fact that it is a well-known fact that Nick Saban has never coached a team to a loss, much less giving up a bowl-record number of points.

Even Wikipedia knows this.

Didn't hear that when we were caravanning down I-49 with hundreds of Jon Boats to come save your dumb asses after Katrina because the stupid liberal race pimp politicians you morons keep electing stranded you there instead of calling in the troops.

You'd think as quick as you capitulated in the civil war you guido frogs would have been quicker on the trigger to beg for the feds to come save you instead of us. (FYI when the troops that stomped you surrender monkeys by saying BOO came north of Alexandria they got annihilated and run all the way back to your loving arms) Then when we got down there your moron liberal politicians stopped us from even getting our boats wet with the State Police while your neighbors died. Don't even get me started on the trash we housed and fed and kept safe while they pillaged every business within walking or bus distance of the shelters.

At this point, we could do without you a lot easier than you could do without us. Hello Haynesville Shale!

The SEC is tired of punking the Big Ten. 6-6 A & M, please! Any conference would love to play any SEC team in a bowl. Because it's the best conference in America now. I believe its a mistake not having a SEC tie in. Maybe get a sponsor that somebody knows. Advocare who? Get the weedeater back.

Advocare spokesperson: Drew Brees. Go to the website. You sponsor bowls so you can get your name out and get people to your products. Your comments demonstrate true lack of knowledge.

Ever hear "it's better to keep your mouth shut and let people think you are a moron, than to speak and remove all doubt"

Katrina didn't flood Lafayette dipshite, it flooded New Orleans.

Once again STFU, it's obvious you don't know shite about anything. If you think the Haynesvile Shale is the only unconventional gas play in the country, you are as dumb as you sound.

You're the one that divided the state in half and attacked. Thus you equal a ninth ward hood rat in the grand scheme of things from my perspective.

LOL you might should take your own advice there Pierre.

Tissue?

+1

Everybody soon forgets all that New Orleans trash that came up here that we gave food and housing to. Look at Houston, they were begging the government to ship all those people back when the crime rate went out of the roof. If something like that happened up here I promise you the people wouldn't act as classless as most that came up here did. I'm not throwing everybody in this category but don't bash NLA.

I've been up here for a few years now and that was the best bowl matchup they've put together. Economically, it was a good year for the Indy bowl. Plus it sold out. They're shooting themselves in the foot changing it up.

Alot of these dipshits here have never been out of their own parish. Without taxes from NLA we would be even more fricked down here than we already are. So yes we do need NLA more than NLA needs us.

Ouch, low blow, but true I think Shreveport was actually the capital of the CSA for a while because they were the only city that didn't fold like a lawn chair @ the site of Union troops.

No it's not the only one,but it is the 3rd largest natural gas deposit in the world.A hell of alot bigger than that Shale in DFW, and we all see what that thing has done to Texas' economy.

I think it's sad that the Indy bowl won't feature the top two conferences who actually border one another, but I hope it works out for them.

And Shreveport, if it was home to a major college, would be better than the majority of the college towns out there. Not a bad place to live IMO.
