Thats what they claim, I don't get any of those sports channels. Not even Fox Sports South or Southwest.

I had all that and when the discounts expired my bill was like $250. Be careful.
I know. When that happens we usually cut it down to the bear bones and only keep the sports stuff and whatever dvr package they have at the time. Usually works oout to about 139.00 a month or so. I can live with that.

I'm waiting on a response from DTV regarding their plans for the SEC Network. If they say no to carrying it, I'll immediately cancel my account that I've had with them for 18 years. I'll then sign up with Uverse, who have already committed to carrying it.

I live in Texas. The Cowboys come on Fox. Saints come via Direct Ticket.
I live in Texas and watch the niners game with the watch group in Austin. The Saints have a big one here too at Shoal.

Uh no. I don't miss a sporting event. As in... I can watch if I want.
So you steal them.
Way to be human garbage.

They are channels 646 and 677, respectively. Learn to use your remote control.

It's worth noting that the Pac 12 Network does not have a TV partner. It's 100% done by the conference. Big 10 is partnered with FOX and SEC Network is with ESPN. More bargaining power with a TV partner.

quote:Not sure if I do or not - until next baseball season. I know they are supposed to carry more baseball games but what about football in the Fall? They have to use ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, FSN, CSS and CBS to carry the football games and I have those anyway. I don't care to watch Georgia coaches show at 2:00 AM so what will in miss in the Fall by not having the SEC network? I have UVerse at home so I will be OK but not sure about the cable company in Starkville. Anyone understand this thing better than I?
Who cares?

LSU fans are worrying about having LESS baseball on TV. We have 32 games on TV this year!!

But that's Cox doing a lot of that aren't they? Plus, will Cox lose the broadcast rights once the SEC Network is up and running?
Posted on 2/19/14 at 7:46 pm to Diamondawg
That is what we are hearing... CST, the local Jumbo sports, etc will all lose rights. Hopefully they can make a deal to sub out some games.

Is Charter the same as Comcast?

No, although they do co-own the network CSS.

No, they don't. The SEC opener A&M @ USC is on the SEC Network. There will be other games also. So if your team is on the SEC Network and your provider doesn't carry it you're out of luck. This is not just a network for coaches shows and baseball.

I can't believe some people don't understand how big of a channel this is. It isn't just for non-revenue sports, people. It will have original programming (i.e. "Wake up with Les!" and "Coaches in 'Copters starring Kevin Sumlin") and many football games.

Yes, and opening weekend they also have the Arkansas/Auburn game on Saturday. This will be replacing most, if not all of the games you would typically find on FSN, CSS, morning SEC Network syndicated game, etc. They are going to have at least three games each week.

They will have it by August. If not, they will lose millions of SEC subscribers.
