Get the job, would the LSU faithful be happy with Lane blowing into town for a couple of years as Offensive Coordinator? They do have history, and it could certainly add to the resume for Lane down the road. He could say I did it with Saban, and against him. IF he was successful.

Sure but I doubt he would make a lateral move like that

I'd take him in a heartbeat. All LSU would have to do is offer up some coeds.

If O is retained we all know he is going after him...and I honestly don't think O would take no for an answer. Lane courted him like crazy everytime he had a coaching job and O was always very loyal. Would not be shocked at all if O pulled this off...would be his biggest recruit!

VERY happy

ETA: Don't think he would be as successful without Saban's recruits though

If this season plays out to Coach O's benefit and we do indeed give him the head coaching job I would have no problem in having Kiffin as the OC and Aranda as the DC.

wtf??? Get out of here with that BS...Kiffin would have a slew of dynamic WR's to work with, Guice and crew as RB;s.. most of the Oline back, both QB's will be seniors...and both starting TE's return. I think he would fair just fine here like he has at Alabama.

I really don't think Kiffen makes that move. I think he is a head coach somewhere this time next year.

Lane has made Alabama into one of the best offenses in the country and he can't even look down at his playcalling sheet without Lil Nicky jumping into his a-hole screaming. Wouldn't surprise me if he did just to piss him off.

I don't see it as a "lateral move" like LSU fans see it. It would be a big step down. Why leave a program that you know you'll be a favorite to win the National Championship. Not saying that LSU couldn't, but street cred with Saban would be better than with O. The credibility and stability of Alabama OC is better. Also isn't Lane the highest paid coordinator at Alabama? Sure LSU might be able to save money with O, but would they pay Lane more to move??

I don't think Lane is very fond of Ed after USC.

Big difference.

Kiffin and Bama treated last week as a scrimmage to work on a few items and not get anyone hurt.

Ensminger and L5U were on a mission to save jobs and try to motivate the team after the Miles firing.

Yea, well, ya know, that's just like your opinion man

ETA: Everything you just said is for like 1-2 seasons, and he still wouldn't have the one thing LSU always lacks
