I don't see it as a "lateral move" like LSU fans see it. It would be a big step down. Why leave a program that you know you'll be a favorite to win the National Championship. Not saying that LSU couldn't, but street cred with Saban would be better than with O.

How about the street cred that comes with beating Saban a couple of times? Easier typed than done but Kiffen's never been short on confidence. I'd be thrilled to have him at OC but I really expect him to get a HC spot somewhere next year. But I'd bet money Orgeron has already been on the phone with him.

Kiffin last week - 488 yards against kent Ensminger last week - 634 yards against mizzou Ensminger > Kiffin

Big difference.

Kiffin and Bama treated last week as a scrimmage to work on a few items and not get anyone hurt.

Ensminger and L5U were on a mission to save jobs and try to motivate the team after the Miles firing.

This is a valid point, I think in a regular situation that game would have been something like 34-14. Solid, convincing win, ease off the gas once the W is locked up.
I think we're going to see LSU blow teams out whenever they can the remainder of the season, as Ed thinks he will at least get a look somewhere if they do.

Saban does get up in Kiffin's face a whole lot, and I imagine it can be pretty embarrassing- especially in front of the team when you're scorching the opponent. I don't know if that means he will jump to LSU if given the chance, but I bet he does move away sooner, rather than later.

Kiffin's contract runs out in Feb as I understand it? There are going to be too many HC positions open this yr & I'd imagine Kiffin would prefer a Power Five program. However, he may need to work his way back up the chain as Petrino did. Remember every time one HC position is filled, there is another opening at the previous school.

Mhmm. Wondered when the "only Bama beats Bama" ignorant mentality would show up. GTFO with this pathetic bullshite. Saban treats the fricking spring game like it's a championship.
