Treadwell is a better receiver than Cooper, so your point is invalid.

I bet you were pumped when Ingram won it

Yes I really was quite excited for him, because I really don't care. He was so humble and it really meant a lot to him and his family. His grandfather was there that night and he died the next year, so you know it was especially important to Mark that he saw him receive this award. I do think that Mark Ingram has the best moral character of which the award is suppose to represent, and he was a great player for us. I just think that all should be considered before awarding this trophy. If it is so important to players that they win this, then please weigh in the ethics part. I would be ashamed if I were one of the voters and that I gave the award to Winston last year, There are more awards out there that he could have won that have nothing to do with morals, but this is supposed to be for the athlete that stands for all things right and good.
I repeat, I was happy for Mark that he won, but it wouldn't have changed my mind about his ability or his character if he hadn't.

Cooper not winning, and he won't, has nothing to do with you being an arse about nothing.

Cooper wasn't even the best WR in the SEC. Better create some coping strategies for when Mariota walks home with trophy.

Cooper doesn't have that Heisman moment that is needed for Sports Center. That is what College Football has become today.

Great point. Mariota has a highlight reel full of them. When Cam Newton had his: LSU@AU TD with Patrick Peterson bouncing off him like a quarter off a well-made rack. I was at JHS for that one, and turned to my buddy and said "There's your Heisman Trophy winner, right there". And so he was. You need that "moment".

I just wish they'd give the award out after all the bowl games.... you know when the season is actually over. A lot of the time (not all the time) the winner ends up playing in a bowl game/Nat. Championship game against and good team and don't do squat or only look Avg. at best.

No it isn't. If it were, Vince Young would have won over Reggie Bush.

2005 was a special year when you had 2 of the greatest college football players of all time. Both were once in a generation players and had ridiculous seasons. Only difference was VY struggled in his last game against TA&M and bush put up like 500 total yards in SC's last game.

additonally, vy's best game was the rose bowl after the heisman had already been awarded. Bush was 100% deserving based on the regular season. VY would have won in most other seasons.

Mariota should definitely win. But we would not have won the sec this year without cooper.

He plays in a pussy league that plays no defense.

QBs threw for 5000 yards recently.

A WR catching 115 passes for almost 1700 yards is much more impressive to me.

So is a running back with over 2300 yards rushing and nearly 8 YPC on the season

There is some BS with the Heisman and probably always has been. QB's have a major advantage. Mariota will win with ease. Gordon and Cooper in a close battle for second in my opinion.
