I don't understand all the LSU hype.

They came darned close to losing 7 or 8 games last year. Their luck flip flops and they're looking at a 5-7 loss season this year.

You could maybe say that about 3 games: the UNC, Florida, and Tennessee games.
And even then, in the UNC game LSU STOPPED THE FINAL PLAY. In the Florida game, LSU EXECUTED AND SCORED ON A PERFECT PASS PLAY. Luck ??????

The Tennessee game was the only real luck, as their coach decided he needed 14 players in the LSU end zone. But how is that LSU's fault ???

But 7 or 8 ?????????? WTF are YUUUU high on?
You could also say we were 2 TD's from being 12-0 as well.

I'm not saying I agree with the OP, just seems to be a lot of angry people in this thread.

That's how football goes - particularly in the SEC where there's really not as much separating the competition as everyone would like to think and the games come down to a gnat's arse of difference here or there.

How many games/seasons can go one way or the other based on a play or two or three. UGA could've been a 10 win team last year without two fumbles and a dropped interception. But that's how football goes.

LSU got the luck, UGA didn't.

Well Oregon is probably the worst matchup against LSU. LSU stops pro style offenses really well but the spread is tough for Chavis. Also your DT's are going to get ate up. Oregon will eventually wear them down.
Alabama is just a better team. It's gonna tough for LSU to score against the tide and I think Richardson has a solid game.
Arkansas is the most complete team in conference. You couldn't really shut them down last year and you won't this year either.
Miss State and Ole Miss will have two of better run games in SEC and you have to go on road to play them.

Tennessee has some talent but no depth, which means they are in for a rough year. They will start strong but finish weak.

agreed. I think the defense takes a step back. Just slightly. I have concerns up the middle. Nevis may turn out to be the biggest loss. That guy was a pain in the arse for opposing offenses.

The offense should be a little better. Hopefully they pick up the slack.

I think LSU is slightly overrated myself. The schedule is absolutely brutal. I see a 9-3 type season coming, which really isn't a bad season at all.

If I was a Tennessee fan, I'd sit back and STFU..don't be like the razorbacks, at least wait until you do something before you get dirreaha of the mouth....

What? The opposite will happen. LSU's dline is bigger than Oregon's oline.

Not to mention, Oregon replaces 3 starters on their offensive line and this will be their first game. They run a finesse pulling offense and it requires COORDINATION.

If anything, LSU will get stronger as the game goes on.

Things won't be worse than 2010 unless we have a massive collapse a la 2005 and a collective coaching brainfart a la 2005, 2008, etc.

FWIW, I think we start weak but finish strong.

Your team is going to get beat up, bro. You need depth in the SEC.
