I will take that bet on Oregon game?? LSU's defense will be better than last year. If LSU's QB can have an average season than theres 11-2 anything above that then theres your NC. I believe LSU will lose one game and it will be a close one to bama. LSU will crush Tenn this year for whats its worth

Ehh, I think LSU will be good this year, but "our defense will be better" is the most over used phrase of every preseason.

You don't lose PP, Kelvin Sheppard, and Drake Nevis and get better on D very often...

The spread teams that have success against Chavis have powerful runners, like Newton or Tebow or even Brandon Bolden.

Oregon does not have that. The have an undersized line and speedy backs. It is a finesse offense. If LSU catches those backs, they go down. Period.

That wasn't the case with Cam. That fricker wouldn't go down!

Of course he could. That's how many losses he managed in his last two seasons.

If you looked at LSU's team and really analyze the match ups and weaknesses against other teams, I just don't see how they are rated so highly.

please expand upon this.

your vagueness and generalizations make you look like a teenage redneck who's trolling a message board and doesn't actually know shite about football.

You're right.

Lucky for us, this year is the exception.

That's not trolling FWIW. It's just bottom fishing which is sometimes just as effective for producing dinner.

I don't need preseason mags to tell me our defense, despite losing the best player at all 3 levels, is deeper and more experienced.

Our offense will have a playcaller with his head out of his arse for the first time in 3 years. We're stacked at RB and OL and return one of the most experienced OLs in the conference. Our big uncertainty is QB, and it's still a better situation than last year, when we won 11 games.

So if you're not trolling, you don't really have much of an argument other than hunches and feelings.

Just needs to be stated, but things are going to get worse for Tennessee before they get better.

Have fun with that.

Well, whatever, you get where I'm coming from.

Hearing Humphries to Florida btw. As the official* representative of Tennessee for this board, I am calling DJ to Gates.

*not even remotely official in any way

Please explain because you lost 3 of your best defensive players last year in PP7, Sheppard, and Nevis.

Wow so I guess every team's fans get sensitive when their team is attacked. Go figure.

We did not almost lose this game. If you think that, you didn't watch it.

Close game. We made the plays.

Sore fricking loser. Again, we made the plays, you couldn't stop us. That means we should have and did win. Deal with it.

Ditto.

If anything, LSU came within a handful of plays of going UNBEATEN last year. That was with our abysmal offense.

Seriously....

We bring everyody else back.

In terms of returning starts, this is the most experienced team Miles has had since he's been at LSU.

Somebody's fanbase ought to take a nice look in the mirror.
