Just because they think it would fail doesn't mean he would. I laughed at Clemson over dabo and they are doing ok. I stick by Ed being a better dabo. Dabo just didn't take a promotion before he was ready to a big boy job.

Clemson was in much better shape than ole piss and in a much worse conference at the time.

I still stand behind every tier 2 is a gamble but I know Ed will recruit and I like what he wants our O to do.

I think it's pretty clear he has learned a lot. He stared he tried to coach every position and now he gets letting his coaches coach and for him to not step in.

Our budget will always be top notch so I'm not worried about his hires.

I am telling you that it has nothing to do with LSU or two good he could be. My statement is based on him deserving the chance.

I like him and would rather have him than Jimbo anyday. Jimbo makes my skin crawl for some reason. I cant explain it but he seems like a creepy mothefricker.

Ole miss was a long time ago and frankly, they are a tough program to win at. I don't want to hire O, but the more I see how quickly he's transformed this team, you have to think he's earning serious consideration.

I mean LSU is averaging 546 yards and 42 ppg since he took over. That's not typical LSU as of the last few years.

Exactly why I agree with Lanier's OP to a certain degree.

Looks like a whole different team.

I want him to get the job for no other reason than listening to his press conferences.

He sounds like what Cookie Monster would have sounded like if he had been born in Lafourche Parish.

Agreed , If lsu can get a really solid OC I think Orgeron could right the ship and get LSU back to the promised land . There will be absolutely 0 drop off in recruiting because O is one of the best in the business. LSU is about to build a wall around the state of Louisiana as far as recruiting . Dylan Moses will commit to lsu after we beat bama this year .

I'm impressed by the changes he made. He saw the issues and fixed them. I also like he had a plan to take over.

Like I said earlier I like that he isn't hard headed about his ole miss time. He admitted the mistake and why it was a mistake. It tells me a lot that he can admit a mistake and then correct it.

I think it comes down to him and Jimbo. I'm pretty sure Herman is all UT and chip isn't leaving the 49ers no matter how sjw they are.

He also doesn't put up with BS. Just ask the idiot that called his radio show last week.

Coach O are you going to be giving customary kisses on player's cheeks this week ?

"That's a stupid question."

Lanier is good people, It's not him being in jest.

Some of these posters will wish LSU didn't hire O when he seals off the state and unleashes our talent. He wants a USC 00s style O and that can kill here.

I don't see a clear better choice after Herman, Chip, Jimbo.

I'd rather take my chances with a guy I know can recruit and will let coaches coach. Plus hard to argue with any change he has made. I like the new access to the program, the process he is instilling and the nfl structured practice.

So far it's looking good for Coach O. No one knows how the season will develop beginning with the Bama game, but I have to believe it's better than what we would have seen with Les.

He then brings in a new oc and we roll.

I sure hope so. That ballerina shite we were running in the first half last night was difficult to watch.

At one point Fournette had 7 carries for 249 yards and 3 TDs.

Meanwhile Ensminger was calling cutesy reverses and slow-develoling pass plays.

Game should've been 52-10.

Let's be honest though. You and your "Troll Tide" brethren will make fun of our hire no matter who we pick.
Sidewalker U has no credibility left on the rant.

I'm really on the fence. Part of me thinks "anyone not named Les could have success with this team" and Orgerons past scares me. The other half looks at how he has pulled this team together, how he has learned a lot through the years, and thinks he may actually be a good coach now.

It'll be interesting to see Ensminger, the "thinking man's quarterback", alongside Kiffin in two weeks.

I can't get both feet to jump on the Herman hype train. Houston is struggling lately against non-P5 teams with far less talent. Jimbo seems like a better choice. Coach O does too for reasons stated above. Coach O with a good OC and Aranda could be a very strong combo.
