Mascots... maybe. Auburn is never referred to me as the Auburn Tigers. Its either Auburn or I say the War Eagles.
Is Auburn's orange the same as Longhorn orange?
Still no getting around this maroon/red thing.

I vote that the VOLS go with pink and brown just to piss all of our old fans off.

Hypothetical: What SEC school should change their school colors?
My initial thought is LSU because their colors are just ugly, but they carry a cultural significance. Everyone else is fine. For the rest of college football, I'd say Wyoming...just awful.
Purple and yellow happen to be complementary colors on the artist/designer color wheel, as are
blue and orange.
BTW, the SEC Logo's colors are.......purple and yellow, as are many major corporations' logo colors.

Purple and yellow?
Repeating my explanation from the ATM guy above, and others who are aesthetically challenged:

"Texas State" was called "Southwest Texas University" until 2003.
A&M actively refused to add "state" back in the 70's.
When I was in school '75-'79 the administration publicized that A&M no longer meant "Agricultural and Mechanical", it was just... "A&M".
Ummm... OK, guys.

Seriously?! First of all, I really hope you don't actually believe this...Secondly, I probably would have let that go if this weren't a thread about COLORS but you've got to be pretty ignorant and probably need to revisit the color wheel...or you could head to your nearest Sylvan Learning Center, I'm sure they'd be helpful.

Color Wheel
See above. Yellow (LSU Gold is complementary to Purple and as noted they are historical.
What is the history behind the other team colors

See link. The purple may actually be closer to blue. Sorry I upset you so terribly..

Less than 10% of Louisianians are of French descent - you stupid piece of regurgitated possum afterbirth.
What does red stand for for alashama? The color of your fat faces after you accidentally swallow a wad of Skoal ???????

Come on it's UT orange and it's not even close.
Best besides homer pick of UK is UGA. Love the red and black. Also agree that UK should ditch the new look unis and go back to the original straight blue and white.

I guess everyone is entitled to their opinion no matter how stupid. We have some of the best colors in the nation
If I take UT out of the equation because I'm biased, I rate LSU's road unis as the sharpest looking in the league.

You're retarded. You don't know what the word "should" means.
UT gets a lot of mileage out of that color.
