Any 16 team conference without this setup would be a clusterfrick. It would take like 30 years to play every team in the conference.

I thought the Big Six were the only teams to win the SEC since the conference championship game was established in 1992.

If it's based on BCS/Playoff titles, Georgia is eliminated, as their last title came in 1980.

It's a reasonable alignment but from a TV market perspective adding NC and VA schools makes more sense. And to maintain the division balance you simply move Missouri to the West where they belong.

SEC

Pod 1: OU, OK state, Ark , Missouri
Pod 2: Ole Miss, Miss State, LSU, TA&M
Pod 3: UK, UT, Vandy, Bama
Pod 4: Scar, UGA, UF, Aub

9 conference games, 3 from your pod, 2 from other 3.

I think there is 2 important factors in adding any more schools to the conference. 1) Will it bring in additional revenue (fan support and tv market). 2) Will they be competitive and occasionally challenge for conference championships (mostly in football, but all-around would be best).

I would be good with adding FSU, but they wouldn't bring any money with them. They continually overspend and get the state of Florida to bail them out and would add nothing to tv negotiations.

I certainly prefer an expansion east, but it would most likely include Texas and Oklahoma... OSU would have to find a place for themselves... Texas is big enough for two teams to join, Oklahoma is not....

any mention of OU/OSU/UT is going to bring hateful reactions from any Aggie.

Anything positive plus OU will bring hate from me.

I will always say OU stole A&M's destiny until this point. The state of Texas can support two top 10 programs. It would be Texas and A&M, but OU cheating their asses off back in the day and bought championships and used that stolen legacy to steal A&M's recruits in the Big 12 era and become Texas's FSU.

I mean shite, their mascot is people from history who broke the rules and cheated to get land that they shouldn't have. fricking opportunists to the bone.

Agreed, I'd prefer Clemson and Florida State, but no way that's happening.

I like going to 18.

SEC

A: Uk, UT, Vandy, SCar, UGA, UF
B: Ala, Aub, Ole Miss, MSU, LSU, T A&M
C: Texas, Texas Tech, OU, OK state, Ark, Missouri

9 conference games, 5 from your division 2 from the other 2. Two game playoff, tell ncaa , top seed gets bye.

I'm with the Aggies on this one. Screw OU and OK State. All they do is steal cars and phuck their sisters, and apparently steal land etc. etc.

However I do like Bama to the East div.

Why even make these hypotheticals? There is no way in hell the SEC would add 2 teams from Oklahoma, that's just throwing money into the fire. Oklahoma as a stand alone is interesting but that isn't ever going to be available, it just can't work politically in that state.

OSU is also the classic candy coated turd. They have some bright and shiny things on the surface but it's freaking ugly underneath. Crap academics. Horrible location. Small alumni base. All of their money is based on one man who is getting very old as well.

As long as we are going down the "we don't care about money" path the better additions are Clemson and FSU, at least they are cultural fits.

Isn't A&M one of the most penalized teams all-time in the NCAA in regards to cheating?
