First off, I fully realize the Big12 would never let Oklahoma leave. I refer you to dictionary.com for the word hypothetical. Geographically this is a true East/West.
West:
Arkansas
LSU
Miss St
Ole Miss
Missouri
Oklahoma
Oklahoma State
TexasAM
East:
Alabama
Auburn
Florida
Georgia
Kentucky
S Carolina
Tennessee
Vanderbilt
I know the initial reaction is that the East would be far tougher, but would the divisions really be any more unbalanced than they are now, just with the stronger division being the East?

They would be awesome additions, but putting 5 of the big 6 in one division?

The more I think about it, the more I think a 16 team conference would require pods of 4. There's no other way to get to play all the teams in the other division in a reasonable amount of time.

Without the addition of A&M to the West, and Missouri to the East, the west would have been the weaker division in 2012.

The answer is:
Alabama has a weak schedule.
Alabama has a weak schedule.

As a Bama fan, I'd be ok with that setup. While the East would be a stronger division, the West would be strong enough with LSU, OU, aTm, and I think in most years the other schools would alternate as being highly ranked teams. I don't know how OM & MSU would feel about being locked in the west though.

And I refer you to the word southeastern. If we're gonna take ohio, hell let's get oregon and Cal while we're at it!

Who are the current big 6?
Florida, Georgia, Alabama, LSU, Auburn, South Carolina?
Assuming that's true, last year in no way would I say Auburn is still a member. In this setup and based on last year A&M and Oklahoma would be. So you'd have 4 (Florida, Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina) in the East and 3 in the West (LSU, A&M, Oklahoma)

Bama, Florida, UGA, UT, LSU, Auburn.
Big 6 doesn't change because of a few bad years. It's based on historic dominance. Bama couldn't be kicked out of the Big 6 for it's poor performance in between Stallings and Saban, and Tennessee can't get kicked out of it now.
OU has the best historical record out of all those programs though, so they would bump someone out. Aggies can't join until they win a NCG in the BCS or post-BCS era.

Is UGA on Big 6 double top secret probation?

Well, one bad thing about this hypothetical would be that the $ per team would most assuredly go down.
Doubt 5 TV sets in Oklahoma warrant 2 teams from the state. We already have 2 teams from Miss for that.
And under a 16-team SEC I think you'd have 4 pods with 4 teams in each pod so you could play every team with more frequency. It would still feel like a conference.

Hypothetically having two teams from that shithole state Oklahoma sucks. The SEC already has enough meth addicts.
Hypothetically I want OU turning down the SEC in 2011 because they were too good for it to kill their program. They don't deserve a second chance.
Hypothetically OSU brings nothing to the table, especially once T Boone dies.
Hypothetically frick every fricking prediction that ever has those recruit stealing, land stealing, son of a bitches do anything but turn into the next Minnesota-style has been.

All 14 teams are about to defect ot the Georgia Tech conference, adding UNC .

any mention of OU/OSU/UT is going to bring hateful reactions from any Aggie.
Right now we offer something different to the states recruits. Maybe in 20 years, maybe then, you could have one of these schools enter w/out damaging A&M's position w/in the SEC. But not now. The relationship is too new and we had a nice first campaign but have yet to establish a solid track record year in year out.
