That's why you inbreds should shut the frick up. It doesn't affect you at all.
I get so tired of you fricking dumbasses acting like it doesn't affect a team unless they often snap it within the 10 second window. A team doesn't have to actually snap it within that window often for this rule to hurt them. They merely have to be the kind of time who is willing and able to snap it within that window. LOTS of teams line up quick, and then stop and read the defense. If they defense is not ready, they snap it quick. With this rule, the threat of the quick snap will be gone, and that changes everything.

When asked his thoughts on the proposed rule change, Coach Will Muschamp said he thought having an offensive strategy at all was an unfair advantage against defenses but added that he didn't get why other coaches were so upset about any particular offensive style. "Offenses? I've had my guys run several of them. Had all kinds of different offensive wizards come in trying to work their magic for the team and I gotta tell ya I just don't see any differences. As far as I'm concerned even having an offense is a gimmick but the rules say you gotta do something when the ball's in your possession."

Thanks. I had a lot of fun writing that one.

Frick 'em. They will just have to learn how to man up and play real American football.
ARkie might want to try the HUNH -- they were 3-9 playing "real football".
These days, you have to be able to recruit like the Bamas and LSU to be successful with smash mouth football.

Saban's quote makes him sound like a swollen vag, crying because he can't figure out how to stop it. This has nothing to do with player safety.

I think it's cute that the little bitches who are trying to change the rules through back room politics are trying to pretend like they are being the tough guys, when in reality they are scared shitless because they can't stop the hurry-up guys. They aren't tough enough to beat them without having to change the fricking rules. What a bunch of punkass pussies.

“First off, [I] doubt it will pass,” Washington State coach Mike Leach said. “Second, it’s ridiculous. All this tinkering is ridiculous. I think it deteriorates the game. It’s always been a game of creativity and strategy. So anytime someone doesn’t want to go back to the drawing board or re-work their solutions to problems, then what they do is to beg for a rule. I think it’s disgusting.”
quote:
“My suggestion is rather than spending a bunch of time coming up with a bunch of really stupid rules, spend that time coaching harder,” Leach said. “Worry about your own team and try to make your product better rather than trying to change the game so you don’t have to do anything.”
Mike Leach is a boss.

Thought Freeze had the most salient point.
"Since the start of football, defenses can line up wherever they want to," Freeze said. "They can move around as much as they want to before the snap. … They can do whatever they want to do, that's fine. I coach defense, too, that's great. The one thing that has always been offenses' deal is snapping the ball. That's the only thing we have."

Seems just like yesterday all the talk was about Saban taking Freeze under his wing and they had this special, growing bond, etc? Is this just a lovers spat? Can they get past this?

In the spirit of player safety, we should also limit players participating who are over 250 pounds. What's more unsafe than getting steamrolled by all 600 pounds of Terrence Cody or all 320 pounds of Glenn Dorsey?
This was a joke but in reality it would make more sense than any current player safety rule. There is nothing in football more dangerous than weighing 300 pounds, you are basically shoving a cherry bomb in your heart.

Because it definitely does, its a pretty basic concept that anyone who has ever exercised is aware of. Coaches arguing that there is no "data" to support it just come off as ignorant.
Research shows that it does. Fact. It causes a lot of different issues. One thing is that players land wrong due to it.

I don't have a problem with the HUNH. I would be cool with Alabama running it in increments, but not exclusively (which I am not sure anyone does that). I just don't want to see 120 points scored every week and seeing defenses basically mail it in.

I don't either. Run it. However, there's just truth to the argument that fatigue causes injury.
