They seem to say this every year yet last year the SEC had 50% of the Final Four and 18.75% of the Sweet Sixteen which was impressive as only 3 SEC teams were invited and all 3 advanced to the Sweet Sixteen.

#1 seed Florida advanced to Final Four game
#8 seed Kentucky advanced to National Championship game
#11 seed Tennessee advanced to Sweet Sixteen game

#3 in conference RPI right now...

#7 2014
#9 2013
#4 2012
#6 2011
#4 2010

Probably the best the conference has been overall in awhile... The "top" teams are just off their game outside of UK...

All respect to UK, but SEC basketball is a joke. You all are complaining about Top 25, its because they dont deserve it.

Last years Tenn squad got the best draw in the entire tournament.

Just sad to see fan bases so fired up for football, yet not give a single fack about basketball

Yea, this is the best the SEC has been in the last 5-6 years. That isn't saying a lot, but the middle is bigger and the bottom isn't nearly as terrible.

I find it humorous that people throw in disclaimers like "with all respect to UK" when talking about how bad the SEC has been lately considering how the last few seasons have gone.

We are still a year away from even being respectable it seems.

Think us and Auburn will be good in due time because of our coaches. LSU is recruiting lights out, but JJ coaching is suspect to say the least. Think we become a nationally relevant conference (at least have 3 teams in top 25 all year) starting next year.

Doesn't seem to fit their narrative. Not sure how anyone can lump UF into the rest of the conference with a straight face.

I'm a big basketball fan and I can see the steady improvement each year with him. He literally had to completely clean house when he started and everyone knew it wasn't going to be pretty years 1-3. We were in that big a hole from previous dipshit Darrin Horn.

If you watch our team this year, you can see his input on them. We are very solid defensively. I think every team we play will have trouble scoring on us (except UK due to pure size). We have started landing kids with 4 star and 5 star talent lately plus his first class are Juniors this year. Next year, I think we make the tourney.

We still struggle to score which is our downfall this year, but next year with recruits coming in plus another year of Thornwell (hopefully he doesn't go NBA) and Notice we'll be solid.

UF is clearly a few notches below UK this year, but def a few notches above anyone else in the SEC. Once y'all get suspended players and hurt players back, I'm sure you'll be the usual force you always are.

Anyone else who thinks otherwise is an idiot.

It'd be a huge upset, no lie, but if we can somehow top Wichita tonight, we might slip into the top 25.

Agreed. Looks like 4 or 5 teams could vie to join UK in the dance party.
