I did used to live in the north (NJ) so it won't be a culture shock to me

Yeah, it's nestled in the Park Forest neighborhood. If you know where the Citizens Bank is, that's where you turn.

Was raised to be a UT football fan by my dad. Once I became a teenager, I wanted to rebel and picked LSU for a really trivial reason - uniform colors because they were the same as the high school I was about to start.

The year I switched allegiances was coincidentally the year UT won the national championship in '98..... Ol' Dad loved it and I felt dumb at the time. Never despised UT though, and still don't. I root for them anytime they are not playing against LSU.

When it comes to basketball, I've always been UT all the way.

Oh shite I merely adopted the North. You were born in it, molded by it.

I think I have a rough idea. Nice location. I guess CATA will run on game days right by that wally world?

And now you have to really make a haul for an Are You Hungry sammich which may actually be good for your health. If I had stayed my soph year and lived in the apt dt my friends got I would have gained 50 lbs

I was born in Alabama, but I was definitely heavily molded by it because I was there during my middle school years.

Yeah, there's a stop right outside the entrance of the place. It's on the N route and is only a stop up from Trader Joe's.

I'll have to try that. It already doesn't help my health that they serve fantastic ice cream on campus.

Oh ok nice. And good for you. Northernmost I lived before hand was Chattanooga.

As for food wait till you're drunk/stoned before you get Are You Hungry because eating that sober makes you want to die from shame and carb overload.

But remember, when you're drunk downtown at 3 am and you see an enormous line outside that it's worth it and the mcdonalds down the street is a fricking mcdonalds and you can do that any day.

Oh, and get pumped for lionmenus.

wow
such takeout
much options
wow

I grew up cheering for both Tennessee and Kentucky (Kentucky mainly in basketball). I'm a border child one parent from each state so it made sense to me and Kentucky reminds me of my Mammaw - she loved them and was old enough to remember when UK had good football teams. I still cheer for Kentucky when we're not playing although many Tennessee and Kentucky fans would consider this the equivalent of a Bama fan cheering for Auburn.

Prof I have a similar view here as well. Parents went to EKU and I went to UK. My family is from the Corbin KY area and the extended family was from down around Oak Ridge. I have cousins at UK and UT so its more of a playful rivalry I'd say.

Also my wife went to Auburn so I get my football jollies through them when I can. Seeing as how UK is well.... lack luster.

Oh, and chinese food... what's the best? I tried Bellefonte Wok when I was up there in March and was terribly underwhelmed.

Always been an Aggie, always will be.

Growing up though, I hated, absolutely hated, Cougar High (University of Houston). However, I got my masters there, and I pull for them now. Not as much as A&M of course, but they are my second favorite team. Helps that they aren't in the same conference.

Art Briles was and is still a bitch, though.

Born in Texas, raised in Louisiana, Georgia, Arizona, Arkansas (x2) and Kentucky.

Was more of a pro-football fan (Oilers) until the 1993 Sugar Bowl. Started cheering for Alabama in '93 after watching them beat Miami and followed Alabama (even moving there for a short while) until 2005 or 2006.

Started following UK football in 2005 and ended up with a law degree from UK. Stopped cheering for Alabama altogether after a bad experience with a bunch of their fans last year in Commonwealth.

Still do not care for basketball (UK or otherwise) but have been a season ticket holder at Commonwealth for several years, going back to when I was a student.

I mean it's not life changing but i probably miss uncle chens more than anything food-wise. Huge portions and it's good shite. General tsos do it right.

Also, boots delivery is also good. Great sausage sammich and they also deliver blunt raps, pong balls and solo cups

My parents were both from Kentucky and relocated to Tennessee in the early 60's. My father went to UK and my Mom went to EKU, and both were huge UK fans. I grew up getting a hard time from them when UK beat UT in basketball season, and my friends (who thought I was a UK fan), would give me grief when UT would beat UK in football.

You were definitely in a no-win situation.

Was an LSU fan and even attended for 3 years before transferring to A&M.

Now a huge A&M fan but still root for the Tigers. Catch a lot of crap from my friends on both sides.
