Was a UF fan for as long as I can remember. If 'dem Tigers are off (hate to say it now), I'll root for the Gators.

I grew up cheering for both Tennessee and Kentucky (Kentucky mainly in basketball). I'm a border child one parent from each state so it made sense to me and Kentucky reminds me of my Mammaw - she loved them and was old enough to remember when UK had good football teams. I still cheer for Kentucky when we're not playing although many Tennessee and Kentucky fans would consider this the equivalent of a Bama fan cheering for Auburn.

I somewhat cheer for Notre Dame depending on the opponent because my great aunt and uncle who went there made me a casual fan (mostly I just keep up with them on occasion). My great aunt is in her 90s now but she still calls every football season to talk about the Vols and Notre Dame.

Grew up an Arkansas fan. Still an Arkansas fan. Secondarily a UCF fan since I enrolled there.

Naw, I was raised correctly from an early age. There was a time where I tried to have a co #1 team but that lasted all of a week.

That's hard to believe if you went to Auburn. In my experience there are a lot of Auburn and Alabama fans who grew up fans of one team and then switched because of going to school at the other or for other reasons.

Not if you are a part of the 20-25% of AU alum that grew up in Ga.

My point was that I'm surprised (if he went to Auburn) that he never met one person there who grew up an Alabama fan. There are a lot of people at both schools in that situation.

That doesn't have as much to do with growing up in Georgia. Has to do with spending 4 years at Auburn and not running into anyone in that situation.

I grew up a pretty big Tennessee fan since my dad went to UT and my family is from there. My sister went to Bama so I cheered for them a good bit when I was a teenager. When I decided to major in Architecture, Auburn had the best school for it in the SEC and arguably the South, so I went there and never looked back.

Work with one of those guys. His little sister is graduating from Auburn this semester but still wears her bama crap all over campus. Apparently there are a lot of those types down there right now.

I don't see how you can do that. That guy's little sister sounds like a fat girl.

Only people I met at auburn who grew up Bama fans were either still Bama fans and were just there bc of a certain major or were girls who didn't care who they (or their kin) were a fan of growing up and the switch wasn't a big deal

A decent amount Auburn fans grow up UGA, but change when they don't receive an acceptance letter.

When I was in school as a freshman/sophomore(08/09), A&M's architecture program got ranked number one by some ranking. I remember seeing kids wearing shirts everywhere.

Oh, I see. Definitely met a few in that situation as well.

The former Bama fans who converted probably just didn't want to admit their shameful past to you.
