I'm jointly a Cats fan and a Wake fan. Football season is a blast at my house. Does that count?

I usually have a Wake logo

I'm still here (Baylor) to remind everyone Alabama will be the SEC representative every year in the playoff and lose because they will have to play a modern offense that can't be overwhelmed by talent disparity.

I can't think of a single SEC school that has blown a 21-point 4th quarter lead in any game, much less a bowl.

I know Arkansas blew a 21-point halftime lead to ULM back in 2012, but not all in one quarter.

The real stupidity of his comment is that Alabama has played in essentially four of these "playoff games" (counting the BCS championship games under the same umbrella), and lost once.

And the way things are shaping up right now, it looks like Alabama and Clemson are looking good to make the playoff, along with the Big Ten winner (either an undefeated Iowa or a Michigan State team with a strong resume). That leaves the fourth spot for OU or Notre Dame (if they beat Stanford), and I don't think you can take OU over ND if that's the case.

Neither can I.

But would only care if it were Alabama or LSU.

If only there were a common opponent between an 11-1 Notre Dame and an 11-1 Oklahoma for the playoff committee to use for an objective analysis...

That's highly unlikely.
