Look at the hard numbers of school affiliated posters and page views and get back to me. You honestly believe that your presence on an LSU created website doesn't affect your perception of reality vis-à-vis LSU fans?
I've never given a shite enough about schools other than my alma mater or their respective fans to join one of their message boards so I wouldn't know. shite I don't even know the web address of any besides hogville.com and volquest.com because of how much they are joked about here.
This is an SEC site for all SEC fans. That is how it is advertised and that is how it operates. That is how we all view it. Is it affiliated with an LSU site? Yes. But that doesn't matter. This is an SEC site.

And I never said anything about ALL Lsu fans. In fact, I often make a point to say not all LSU fans are like that. I've also acknowledged many times that internet fans =/= IRL fans. And even in this thread I've made sure to say "the way some represent it on Tiger Rant."
But when you jump into a thread posting this below.....you are going to get called out genro.

You LSU fans are fricking embarrassing yourselves. Whining about Alabama's rivals.

Thanks for helping me prove my point.

How in the hell does "you" distinguish between some or all?
You spew BS and then crawfish from it.....Thank you for proving MY point

I have to think at least some Bama fans don't care about it anymore. Sure they turned yall in and you've gotten revenge. Penn state is in better shape than UT.
My honest retort, one of the reasons I love cfb is the history and this is one of those games same as Michigan and Ohio St which is fairly lopsided as well now but I have to admit tN is struggling for longer than I thought, but I want to wait and see if jones can do something before giving up on the vols. I knew Bama would be a contender again eventually but I had no idea the success would be this great and maybe TN can do the same eventually.

I'm off to the cigar shop. This has been a fun way to waste a little time on a Friday morning. Have a good day.

Let's face it -- neither Tennessee nor LSU is going to catch Alabama any time soon.

Really? The Vols probably won't
LSU can throw out all the stats about how Miles has had more success than anyone else against Saban, about Bama got an undeserved rematch in 2011, Bama got lucky in Tiger Stadium this year, and of course all the data proving how many more head to head wins and conference titles they have than Alabama since the Golden Era of LSU began in 2001 but they can't escape the PERCEPTION of everyone outside the state of Louisiana that Alabama, not LSU, is currently the gold standard in college football against which all others are measured.
Note to LSU fans: perception is reality.

Until Auburn and LSU fans say it should end, of course.

We remember when yall beat us 7 years in a row with Fulmer. We didn't want to end it then.

Obvisouly most Bama fans will be in favor of the SEC rent a win every year.
You say this like UT isn't LSU's daddy. They own LSU almost as bad as Bama does.

Criticizing the use of this is sort of like conceding the discussion. A last-ditch gambit in lieu of anything subsantive to bring to the table.

Who is this "we," curiously?
You didn't have a god damn thing to do with it. You didn't start the message board. You don't pay the hosting bill. And you don't make the decisions on who gets to post where for what reason.
You matter about as much as I do in the grand scheme of things around here.
Stop kidding yourself.

we'll be passing them for 2nd overall winning % in just a few short years.
And the head-to-head would be swung in LSU's favor over time if we were LUCKY enough to play them every year.

LSU fans do know bout rivalries, at least some of us older fans do. O.Miss was a huge rivalry game for LSU for yrs & the hate ran as deep as does the professed hate between UT/bama fans. The "Ole Miss Riots" each yr was not a PR stunt. We hated them, they hated us. It died when O.Miss quit being competitive. Outside the SEC, the same with Tulane, tho the competitive level was no where near as close as with the Rebs. As usual, everything to do with bama is the greatest in the league & no one's history comes close.

Google the 1996 College Football Season.
1. We lost @ FSU, not @ home.
2. We still won our conference.
3. I was only 12 at the time, but I don't recall Spurrier going on ESPN to politic.
4. When the game was set up, it wasn't for the title. We were #3 and it only became a title game for both teams after #2 Arizona St lost in the Rose.

Tennessee vs LSU head to head ALLTIME record...
9-20-3... Not too good! When LSU was down for 70 years we didn't rub it in your face. And for LSU to good for 12 years does not make them a great program.
What's UT's record against UF?

Honestly, anyone who thinks this game or the Auburn UGA is going anywhere needs to stop posting.
