This might be the worst idea ever. I mean Bama fans already put a second mortgage on their trailer to go to the games! It just would be too expensive for them to buy 10$ PBR

The States set the age to buy alcohol and tobacco, not the Federal Government. They merely made a suggestion.
Also, I'm not sure about other states, but in Alabama, you don't have to take a class to be able to serve/handle alcohol. I was a waitress/bartender for three years in college and never took a class.

I already have a beer gut. That thing would make me look fat. I'd rather my junk look bigger. That's why I roll with the freedom flask!

I honestly don't see alcohol sales at SEC venues for a long time, unless the federal government votes to lower the minimum drinking age back down to 18 and maybe even then you wouldn't see it.
quote:Some of the pro venues I go to have beer stands that are separate from the other concessions. It helps with long lines and enforcing the drinking age/other limits. That could easily work in the SEC.
but also (at least at Auburn) a lot of your concession stands are staffed by local high schools and other groups which get a % of sales as a fundraiser for the group. If you have high school kids working a concession stand, they can't sell alcohol because you have to be of legal age (and take a class) before you can handle/serve it.

Thats why you get your date to wear the Wine Rack. She looks hotter and you can get almost a handle into one of those things.

And beer sales to 75K doesnt = $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$?
I'm not arguing with you. The fact that certain parts of a stadium can sell liquor because they pay more money is ridiculous. When they first added on the east upper and suites in 2000, the reason that they claimed they could have liquor in those suites was because the addition DID NOT TOUCH any part of Tiger Stadium which was owned by the state, if I'm right. If that's so, then since they could have liquor in the suites, then why couldn't they have liquor in the upper deck above the suites? Then the new west upper deck was added in 2005, it is somewhat connected to the west side of the bowl, but yet, they can have liquor in the club seating, but not in the upper deck above the club seats. They make up these rules, but it basically means, if you pay us enough money, we'll let you drink. It's frickin stupid. Actually I'm all for beer sales in Tiger Stadium.

Should have "drinking sections", and leave it at that.
They have "no drinking" "family-friendly" sections at some ballparks already.

Impossible, at least in Tiger Stadium. You would have 80,000 people crammed into 4 sections.

The Browns have a family section that you cant drink in.

How many SEC championships does your teams have? Oh that's right, zero.
How many MNC does your team have? Oh, that's zero too.
And I don't want to hear shite about track and field.
