He won two in his 1st 5 years in a major rebuilding period. He's 60, and I think he goes 10 more. Even at 2 per 5 years that 6 total and tying Bryant. Then we can argue on the Rant for the next decade who was better.

That same process didn't produce a championship from 2003 - 2009 over a 6 yr. period, even though he's had 2 in 3 yrs.

His stint with LSU fricked up his numbers, didn't it...

Nebraska matched Miami. 3 titles in 4 years > 4 titles in 9 years? Pretty tough call...

Saban is being replaced by Lester M as the greatest of all time. Saban gets bitch slapped in Tiger Stadium. He may not show up.

I dont think we were favored to win by 21 in Jan. either

You were favored in the last four match ups against LSU. What was Bama's record in those games? My ultimate point here is that the "spread" doesn't mean shite when it comes to these two teams. FWIW

The thing about Miami was they were so consistent. They won the title in 83, 87, 89, and 91, and were a game away in 85, 86, 88, 90, and 92.

That happened after they got up to an extremely high level of recruiting, which Bama is at now. Finally.

You really are an idiot. He didn't coach college football for 2 of those years right smack dab in the middle. Then he started his rebuild of Alabama. 3 years later, boom.

I think a lot of it depends on how the SEC is divvied up when they do the new divisions. If Auburn moves to the East, the east will get a solid team for Bama to have to deal with yearly and possibly twice. The West is only getting stronger each year, Arkansas is on the cusp of be a balanced team with a solid defense, LSU is as talented as Bama if they can dig up a quarterback to play consistently and not lose games and Moo State will be a pain in the arse year in and year out with Mullen there.

If Saban wins another one, it wouldn't shock me but winning two more would.

And I do think that Saban leaves with Bama on probation.
