2 championships in 3 years is very good. Realistically how many do you seem him adding before his contract runs out in 2017? Obviously no one knows what he will do at that point.

I am wondering if Saban can produce a run that would rival the Miami teams of the late 80s/early 90s. We have not seen a run like that since.

No. Even USC with more in-state talent and weaker competition couldn't match the run of the late '80s, early '90s Miami teams.

True but they didn't have Saban running the show. I also think Miami was the product of a fixed bowl system where they would play in championship games at home against overmatched Big 12 opponents. 3 of the 4 championships they won from 1983-1991 were in the Orange Bowl against Big 12 opponents. Saban has already won 2 in the last 3 years so it would not shock me if he accomplished something similar over an 8 year span. Keep in mind that he was 1 quarter away from being in the championship game in 2008 as well.

It seems like forever

That is till the recruiting violations put Alabama on probation to start the 2014 season

Saban will continue to win at the college level wherever he goes. How great a run he has at Alabama only depends on how long he stays at Alabama. I think that will be at least another 5 years. I don't see why he couldn't coach a team to win 1 or 2 more titles in that time.

I must admit, it is nice to get the game of the century every year.

You don't think he can manage to win 1 more over the next 6 seasons? They should be favored in every game with the exception of LSU (possibly) this coming season.
