First prime time college game and a group of us watched on tv. Both quarterback threw 300 yards or more. Bama won in the closing moments.
Scott Hunter and Archie Manning shoot out. An excellent article , worth reading

With a curious nation watching, the two quarterbacks are mesmerizing. Manning completes 33-of-52 passes for 436 yards and two touchdowns. He runs 15 times for 104 yards and another three touchdowns. Each play he makes seems more improbable than the last. ABC's play-by-play announcer, Chris Schenkel, simply runs out of adjectives to describe this country kid from tiny Drew, Ms.

sounds like a BS to me... did a William Faulkner enthusiast write that story about him playing with a broken arm?

In a time when the quarterback was never supposed to run.

Why would i use google when i can hear fantastic stories from other fanbases about how he was the greatest college football player in his time and the best person ever. I have heard that God tries to follow in his footsteps.

So you will continue to make ignorant comments about a person and subject that you know absolutely nothing about

If he's a Yates from Neshoba County, then he's at least in-law kin to Archie. I'm not getting in a family feud with red-clay Miss'ippi folks

I would hope more on this board would appreciate that....
Have you reached puberty yet?
