Petrino has no desire to get back in the SEC. Louisville will pay him mega $$$$ to keep him anyway after the Cardsget to the playoffs.

Fedora is a much better fit for AU.

At Arkansas

Even Malzahn and Chizik have managed to beat Saban at Auburn

A real coach like Petrino at Auburn may never lose to an aging Saban

Does this mean Saban is coming back to Bama after being run out of the state by Gus?

He would struggle to get 3 stars there. Do you think parents would send their kid to play for a dude that has had 10 head coaching jobs in 15 years and fricks volleyball players on the side? Opposing coaches would have a field day recruiting against him and that is why I wouldn't want him here.

Hahaha. Gus and Chizik (two doofuses) have had AU 6th nationally over the past 5 years in recruiting. You think Petrino would suddenly have us falling out of the top 25?

Think BP learned his lesson after skipping town on the Falcons then the trouble at Ark.

Louisville gave him a 2nd chance and unless I was dreaming or drunk BP said he was thankful for Louisville giving him another chance and he wouldn't leave there unless they fired him. He isn't leaving there IMO.

Paul Finebaum told a story this morning of talking to Bobby Petrino 4 years ago. Gene Chizik had been fired and BP had reached out to Auburn* for an interview. AD Jay Jacobs(still there) refused to even grant him an interview.
Aubies, I wouldn't count on Petrino coming. Need to look elsewhere.

Petrino has already tried to sneak into AU through stabbing Tubby in the back. As I recall, he & the AU athletic dept. literally got caught on the airport runway. Tubby was still HC at the time. And Petrino used to coach with/for Tubs. Piece of shite. Go ask the Falcons what kind of person he is: he did not tell them goodbye in a team meeting; he left a small note on each locker.
Tuberville is as big a turd as Petrino. Ask the recruits that he left at the restaurant in Lubbock when he bolted for Cincy.

Petrino wants to win a NC. He was shopping around the first time because Louisville was in a shitty conference.

He can get to the play-offs and have his chance in the ACC. If they win the ACC, they will probably be in. It won't be easy.

Of every week

They are the only team that looks to be locked into the CFB. The way they have played mixed with their remaining schedule.

That is the only goal and all that matters.

The insane overreactions to games are one of the things I don't miss about football season. They played Cuse and UNC-C in the first two weeks. There's no question Bama looked the best in week 1, and you can take your pick in week 2 -- TAMU and Ohio State both looked as good as UL, and there are others you could argue for as well. "Of every week" is ludicrous.

But I'm seriously baffled that people don't actually remember how poorly he developed defenses when at Arkansas. He just didn't give a flying frick about them. He wanted to be a video game coach, and it showed. And his performance at UL prior to this season gives us absolutely no reason to act as though he's amongst the elite of CFB coaching. Charlie Strong did better at UL than Petrino has done so far. Are we assuming that Strong belongs in that pantheon right now? Seriously, as I said, pump the brakes with the knee-jerk overreactions.

Thank you. 3 pages in, somebody got it. The hooplah rose up around it on FB and Twitter today.

Auburn appears that they won't beat around the bush like LSU's debacle last year. If they act....they will act. Petrino likely won't leave, but I'm sure his agent is getting phone calls.

If another HUNH one trick pony offense coach goes to Auburn I think I'm gonna scream. Auburn is the biggest sell out bunch of little bros I've ever seen in my lifetime. frick Jay Jacobs.

At Auburn, every coach says if you cant beat Bama. You're done.

At LSU, if you cant beat Bama. You're done.

Any questions why they cant land the big name coaches they like?

All you gotta do is beat the best in the business to keep your job, no biggie.

Louisville is objectively a better job then Auburn right now since it was admitted to the ACC.

He's essentially paid SEC money in a conference he doesn't have to play Alabama, et al. annually to have a sniff at the playoff. He's also king of the state in football and is able to live in a fantastic metro area near where his children grew up and settled.

Pretty much the same deal as Tom Herman.
