I'm laughing pretty hard at all the members in this thread who are now laughing at Clemson ... who are the same ones touting the taterheads whenever they talk trash over here with we Gamecocks

That's because there is a huge difference in talking trash about the Gamecocks and talking trash about Alabama. With the former, they are usually right. With the latter, you tend to make yourself look foolish.

Stopped reading there. If they think all they have to do is stop the run, they are in for a rude awakening. Coker is more than capable of beating them.

They'll score more than 14

they'll score more than 14 ... probably the 20-24 range, imo ... bama will score in the 35-40 range if we run on them the way i think we can run on them ... even if they keep the box loaded, our wr can make some hay against them ...

we shall see ...

UT ran the ball on Bama. Dobbs and Hurd both had some nice runs.

Tennessee had 132 yards on 39 carries. That is 3.4 yards per rush.

Against Bama, that is a good day but it isn't winning any ball games.

I think it's gonna be a great game and Clemson can win but those quotes are extremely idiotic

Clemson can beat Bama but they have to play well in all phases to do so.

I guess we're all just go forward from that game thinking 2 things huh?

1.) 5 turnorvers DIDN'T happen

2.) This is still the same Bama team and they haven't improved at all since that game.

Here is the problem with other fans:

They don't know the new Bama. No one seems to. With Kiff, Bama has big play potential on every snap. Never really had that before.

Let people play Bama as a one dimensional team, they will get burned. Bama is going to score their 28-32 points per game regardless. The way to beat them is to score 30+. If you do that, you have a shot.

Alabama is talented, for sure, but their talent is no match for the way we use our talent.

The problem is Alabama's 2 and 3's would start at most places.

They are not one dimensional. Coker can sling it and he also can run enough to keep you honest.

I would be surprised if Bama lost. There is a reason they are favored by 7.

I don't agree word for word with some things that they are saying, but I do think that this years Alabama offense is more more dimensional than some years past and not as good with pass protection. They still run block exceptionally well. I also do agree with the thought that they can/should try to space Bama out to run it rather than trying to out muscle them.

Coker played great against a worse than normal MSU secondary. Clemson I assume will lock up their stud CB on Ridley and take their chances. MSU probably did the best against Henry so we will see if a Clemson DL that I don't think is as good can stop him somewhat

Most teams have delusional fans that make the rest look like idiots. I for one am really nervous about this game. I know it's going to be tuff, but hope the Tigers can find a way to win

Honestly, I think it simply comes down to the Alabama running game. If Bama is running very successfully its over. But, Clemson has a very good secondary. Tj Green and Jayron Kearse are big and physical and awesome in run support. Clemsons corners tankersly and alexander are good enough where they can be left on islands. If Coker proves he can make big throws consistently against a good secondary bama should win. If not, Clemson has a real good chance of winning IMO.

Bama wins 41-21 and 14 of those Clemson points are Oh By the Way in the 4th. Bama's front 7 is just too damn good. This is coming from someone that wishes Bama would lose every single time they take the field.

Fair statement. I am also curious to see how well Watson can deal with the best front 7 in college football (possibly ever). If he is able to escape the rush and improvise, and then make the throws, then our offense will have to have its best game this year to keep up. We matched up beautifully with MSU. Clemson's style will not be as easy to handle, and their pass defense is better. I am interested to see if Clemson can contain our rushing offense, OR if Clemson can score early and pressure us to throw more.

This is going to be a tough game for either team. I think the line is about right, I'd say we are 5-6 point favorites but this Clemson team might really give us trouble.
