we break up more passes than anyone in the SEC.

When I've watched Bama games, that's really the biggest thing I take away from them -- the linemen and LBs somehow manage to bat down, divert, or just plain block an unreal number of passes. I wonder if someone has the aggregate stats on that.

I normally find the usual mix of sane/reasonable posters and the completely delusional die-hard types on other boards. Clemson's site is different. I have seen maybe one post on the entire site who is willing to acknowledge that Bama is a good team. Everybody else is living in some sort of parallel universe where Bama is the most overrated team of all time. It's kind of hilarious actually. They've pretty much reached a consensus on the following:

Bama's DL is big and slow, and will not have a chance to substitute due to Clemson not substituting, leading to exhaustion by the 3rd quarter. Also overrated.

Bama's LB's are very mediocre

Bama's secondary is abysmal

Deshaun Watson is 10X better than any QB Bama will have played.

Clemson's offense is Saban/Smarts kryptonite. The only thing similar Bama has played was Ole Miss, and they lost. Clemson 10X better than Ole Miss

Clemson's defense is just as good (and actually better in secondary) than Bama's, just not as deep which won't matter.

Henry was held to 75 yards by an inferior MSU defense, he's going to be completely held in check by Clemson.

This will force an extremely average Coker to throw the ball. Clemson defense gets 3 picks.

Dabo Swinney prays to God because he is a good Christian man. God clearly prefers Clemson.

Clemson's schedule every bit as tough as Bama's (if not harder)

Because of the gameplan in the MichSt game, Clemson coaches now have a 'helmet fire' going with their planning. They can't assume, as MichSt did, that it's All Henry All Day.

Yeah, they sold out to stop the run, which has to be driving the Clemson staff crazy because Stewart and Ridley absolutely will burn a secondary in those circumstances. That's one reason focusing on Coker is a mistake -- his receivers have the ability to get into space with depressing ease and both of the aforementioned seem to have good hands to boot.

Clemson will no doubt be the best team Bama has played all season, and they are scary because they have the type of player at the one position where, if he's on, the defense really can do nothing to stop it.

And Clemson has SEC type talent on defense.

I'm excited because I truly foresee an epic game. I think Bama will find themselves in a come from behind situation, which may actually be a good thing because Coker seems to thrive there.

Watson will need to play the game of his life...and it still might not be enough.

Is Clemson better than Ole Miss?

Watson better than Kelly?

Clemson can beat Bama but they have to play well in all phases to do so.

I got no horse in the race. So I don't care if Bama wins. They didn't beat Ohio State. That is all that matters. I just think the melt will be great if Clempson wins.

UT ran the ball on Bama. Dobbs and Hurd both had some nice runs.

Stop acting like they are invincible or something.

Meyer and Ohio State lit them up like a Christmas tree last year...so did Oklahoma the year before.

I think Bama will win this game, but who knows...what Clemson did to Oklahoma was pretty impressive.

There's a difference between confidence and making stuff up to make yourself feel better.

Look, I had confidence that LSU could beat Arkansas. I was wrong, but that's fine because I didn't have the poor common sense of proclaiming that Arkansas' defense sucked and LSU would shut down Alex Collins worse than Bama shut down Fournette. I just thought both teams were good and either one of them could win even without a miracle game.

I mean Clemson does need to have 5 athletes on the field plus Watson all game to try and take advantage of bigger lber. Still the best chance and then you go over the middle for 8-15. Run fly sweeps etc not up the middle, although OSU has limited success doing that last year

Game could look like Bama/Texas with qb getting knocked out early. Watson has to be smart with his feet to even finish the game.

Clemson maybe plays to the level of competition but Bama with time to prepare and highly motivated should dismantle them.

I see a team and fanbase very cocky and I see another team very motivated to do the impossible (Beat ALABAMA)
