I can’t imagine what miserable people the members of the “Freedom From Religion Foundation” must be, nor the sheer volume of fedoras that must festoon their fat, Cheeto-dusted heads. If you want to be an atheist, that’s totally your business. But to be an “anti-religious crusader” requires a special kind of short-sighted, bigoted a-hole.

Do you understand how court precedent works?

Sure I do, but because a judge or judges rule one way or another has no bearing on the intent of the Framers. Why do you think the left faught so vehemently against Kavanaugh. What would happen if a conservative court ruled that that wasn't the intent of the law?

Frick these types of people. I’m sure they’ll change their minds just a tad too late when their asses are on fire down below.

Ridiculous.
I’m no Auburn apologist but that’s just stupid and the fact that it is even an issue tells you all you need to know about what is wrong with America.

You, like many, don't know why it was included or what the intent was. The meaning the words "of" and "from" are also intentional ignored.

I'm not even sure what you're trying to say. In fact we might even agree. Let's clarify.

"No (government at any level) shall make a law".

Equal Protection Clause/14th Amendment.

No.
And this isn’t a Republican vs Democrat issue and you suck for making it one.
That also is what is wrong with America.

I think you'd be surprised. I can promise Auburn's chaplain nor any of the well-meaning, but ignorant apologists here want to debate Dan Barker.

That's what it says? Why don't you post the exact words? Just because people interpret it as you say, there is one word that's pretty important. The one you left out.

the establishment clause of the first amendment was meant to protect religion from govt, not the other way around. In general...

In specific, I doubt there's any danger of King Henry the 8th or his daughter Bloody Mary forcing Auburn to be Anglican, and then forcing them to be Catholic again, and then having people burned at the stake.

I’m a supporter of freedom of religion and the 1st Amendment and disagree with this move, but the whole Auburn As a Spiritual Experience has always been sanctimonious, cultish and off-putting. The Ring Ceremony, the Creed and a lot of their university culture is just wack.

Gene Chizik called his national championship season a “God thing”. They ate it up before they fired him. Gag me.

I neither know nor care who Dan Barker is, but I’d be happy to debate him on this, or any other, subject. However, as this is not the correct forum for a philosophical discussion, I’ll let the matter drop.

It's a dumb lawsuit, but does anyone really believe Bobby Lowder funds Chette Williams just so he can pray with the athletes?

He does it to help recruiting. If you are suggesting he funnels money to the players, who take all of the physical risk in the sport, then

The real truth in America today is Minority’s Rule..... What the Majority favors (which is the core of a Democracy).... no longer matters.... One rule of thought fits all....
