Except your posting indicates otherwise.

Crazy game. Officiating awful relative to replay overturns alone...and alone it wasn't.

One is defenseless, the other is not. You pick.

Not that I am saying Hurts hit should have been targeting but it would at least one of the criteria of being defenseless and it would come down to where the helmet contact and I could have lived with either. It's too close to call. That usually occurs on the blind side and I don't know why Hurts didn't see him coming. Experience will help. The hit on Kelly, as a runner just doesn't even come close.

Check my post history I didn't have an issue with either one. It's football.

This is the answer. Kelly was a runner and had gone well passed the LOS. Hurts was not. If you can't see this, you are willfully blind

Yeah this^

I have no problem with no call on either, or u call both, they refs let them play on this shite and I am fine with it. Like most football fans.

Gary Danielson however had a complete fricking Meltdown

Gary Danielson had a melt down not because he is a Bama fan but because the media has an agenda. They promote this CTE stuff. I'm not saying I want guys to get hurt but it's a clean hit. I'd rather helmet to helmet than helmet to knee

What's the media agenda regarding CTE? How does shoving that down people's throats help them?

It's like disagreeing with someone of the opposite race. The assumption is always prejudice. The assumption for not supporting the helmet to helmet is you an uncaring Neanderthal who doesn't care about these college kids. No one wants to look bad.

A QB holding the ball is not defenseless. Sorry. You are quite clearly wrong.

Actually that gets called a lot. WR catching passes and QB in the pocket. Are considered defenseless. At least that's how I've seen it called. That said the hit seemed to wake Hurts up. I've never seen a kid that cool.

I don't know what the media agenda is but the NFL settled a huge suit on the CTE with their former players. What if a college player does not make it to the pros but develop CTE like symptons later on. Who does that come back to. Since more college players play than NFL, this number could be huge. The big difference might be does it happen with just a few concussions or does it take the extended (and more vicious hits that occur at the NFL level)? I can see the NCAA get more strict with this due to future exposure.

Writing this one down. I believe you cried a kick returner being defenseless once. But maybe there are two bmys.

No ball carrier is defenseless while the play is live. A QB mid throw or just after a throw is defenseless. It has zero to do with the pocket.
