You work for the school district? Get those kids in the weight room. I blame round hay bales on our lack of football success, but we've always pretty solid baseball teams.

I'll vote for Columbia Mex in Fville, along with Wes's BBQ and the Italian place next to it that I can never remember the name.

I gotta get me some Angry Dog sometime soon. BTW, is Deep Ellum safe again? It was going to shite in the mid '00s.
I used to murder their cheese dip and Tuna melt. Big tuna steak sandwich. Lawwwwwd....
I generally hit me some Angry Dog and then pounded beers at Adairs. My name is on the wall there a few times.

Geraldis.
Tanglewood Beer Co is a new brew pub in a converted service station on the south side. And hell, Mama Dean's while we're at it. Tyler Florence said it was some of the best American food he's ever had.

4 or 5 of those are the higher end places to eat in the area(kind of sad but whatever)
-i would hit up lemon wedge or hullabaloo for a brunch/breakfast
-for mexican i would say any place that is not named On the Border or Abuelos
-koppe bridge, chicken oil co, wings n more, Harvey Washbangers, ect.

I can't tell Harris what to do. Yes I work in that district. If there were more Bounds, Karver types then they would be in the weight rooms already.

It went to total shite, but the city ran off all the garbage by not renewing the liquor licenses to a lot of places. They have a couple great new spots down there especially Black Swan and Boiler Room. It's not like it was in the late 90's, but it's back to it's roots as an "Arts District".

Fayetteville:
El Camino Real--fast, good, inexpensive Mexican food; large portions and you even get chips & salsa for free with takeout orders
Geraldi's: see above, but for Italian; not far from the square.
Thep Thai--solid Thai place just down the road from El Camino Real.
Hugo's--on the square. Solid burgers and sandwiches

Yeah pretty much any place south of downtown is off the beaten path in general. There are lots of good places down there, now that I think of it. Thep Thai, Camino Real, Tangelwood, GreenHouse Grill, Twin Kitchen, Mama Dean's. Damn, Imma have to move to the southside.

I am not big on Hugo's. I liked Bogey's better. But I also think Hugos isn't hole in wall either.

Well if we're talking about hidden gems for the town itself, and not just for visiting fans, then I say La Familia for breakfast. Not a lot of locals know about it (at least not ones that speak english). Ground beef and cheese burritos...no telling how many of those I could put down.
