Teams could pop up sure, but I'm saying that UT is easily the best team on paper and the only one with a succesful returning QB.

As we sit now there is no reason UT should not win the East. The other teams will not have as many question marks next year.

I completely agree with that.

This is going to be the popular pick amoung media around the country. He's just the first. Most will pick these 2.

He only got one team right. It will be LSU and UT in Atlanta, and they just might play each other again in the CFP.

Depends on whether or not Harris can make the jump this year. He's really nothing special, and I think outside of Les not exactly being Einstein when it comes to X's and O's and managing the clock, his play is the only thing that can hold LSU back from a spot in the CFP. It's put up or shut up time for LSU and Les Miles this year. No excuse for them to lose more than 2 games. If they have another typical 10-3 season, I think you gotta look at the coach. I get it that his players love him and everyone in the media loves him because he dances around and acts goofy. That's wonderful. But since 2007 they have averaged 3-4 losses per year, with classes that are on par with ones that UM and NS bring in every year. You can make a strong argument that he has underachieved. If he can't get it done this year, then it could be a while before they lock up a spot in the CFP. They lose a ton of players after this year, and although they'll be good in 17, they won't be as good as this year, and in 18 they'll be starting a very, very young QB and could experience some growing pains.

Hard to argue the west side of the equation...UT has been underwhelming for too long to pick them to come out of the east just yet.

If anyone picked LSU coming out of the west, I would have the same opinion even with so many coming back on both sides of the ball.

Well the Vols were my pick to win the East this year but the Kiss of Death from Herbstreit... Maybe 2017 will be your year. And if you do overcome the Curse of the Herbie then the accomplishment will be all the more satisfying.

I can see that happening, nothing wrong with the prediction. But, if I recall the TN schedule, the Vols go through a 4-5 week period that is just unbelievably difficult

vs Florida
@ Georgia
@ TAMU
vs Bama

That's going to be the make or break stretch for VOLS. Every other game *should* be a W

Can't wait for UT to fall flat on its butt. They are way over hyped for a team that accomplished nothing last year. They are in a weak division but still.
