Well after that non deserving 2011 Alabama team made the championship, people HAD to have something other than the BCS. The BCS apparently failed the country that year.

At the end of the 2011 season some voters manipulated the polls to jump Alabama over Oklahoma State (e.g. dropping OKS ridiculously low).

It was the human component of the BCS that caused the problem not the computers, and yet they replaced it with an entirely human system.

it's fair if you think that but surely you recognize this has nothing to do with the committee. look at the bcs computers and human polls that made up the formula. same result.
Well I can also disagree with where those things have these two teams ranked. The evidence for having UF ahead of UA is stronger than the evidence against, IMO.

If you wanna look up the formulas for the computer rankings, go right ahead. but they all like bama, know that in advance, and they don't know who saban is or anything about bama's history.

that is a minority opinion though, albeit a reasonable one.

Why are you so fascinated with the computers? They have nothing to do with this.

I honestly and sincerely wanna know where Bama is getting the advantage in SOS and StOS. Simply that.

And FWIW, I'm fine with the computers as an LSU fan lol. But that's irrelevant. Why do you keep bringing them up? You even said I brought them up earlier when I hadn't said a damn thing about the computers.

What do computer rankings have to do with the CFP?

while that is a delusional statement and demonstrably false, the human polls like bama more too. and Vegas. and strength of schedule.

and actually is there any ranking that likes Florida more besides the angry mob?

it's because they are admittedly part of other body evidence weighed by the committee, same as basketball has been for decades.

And use the quote feature. I don't even know what you're claiming is demonstrably false.

The two best teams definitely played in the championship in 2011. The problem is they had already played (and the home team lost).

The gerrymandering that went on to ensure the rematch led to the demise of the BCS.

that's not what gerrymandering means.

I know what he means though.

We're the computers holding back Alabama? I figured if they favored UA, most people would have UA in over Ok State.
