It's amusing that you and other Bama fans in here feel as if you had something to do with Bear's success.

That's one of the dumbest comments I've seen in awhile. There's things you could criticize effectively but that's not one. Probably more than half of the Bama fans on here weren't even alive when Bear died.

Some of the posts by the bama fans in here could make one think they were right there alongside Bear winning all of those games vs Auburn. You're not one of those apparently and that is perfectly fine. I found it more amusing than critical.

I've always been thankful for Bear Bryant. He has kept a lot of trash out of Auburn for the past 50+ years.

Also Pat Dye shut him up, for good, real quick.

And oddly enough, it can and should be argued that Saban's presence in Tuscaloosa is what has motivated the Auburn AD to do everything they can to remain competitive.

Works both ways, if Tuberville hadn't owned you for a decade you would have never done what you did to get Saban to Tuscaloosa.

1-1 is shutting up Bear Bryant?

They only met twice and Dye got a win over an old sick tired Bryant in his last year of coaching.

Dye owes his career Bryant don't forget that....

More like Dye beat Bryant in year 2 after taking over a program on an 8 game losing streak. Bryant saw the writing on the wall and got out of Dodge. Then died so he didn't have to witness Auburn become to dominant program in the state.

Pat Dye made Bryant when he built the foundation at bama as defensive co-ordinator for a decade.

Then when Dye got ready, he returned to the state and promptly made Bryant quit and go out a loser.

Dye = GOAT.

AU is bamas Daddy.

etc.

Pat Dye wasn't hired by Bryant until 1965. Alabama had already won titles in 1961 and 1964. Dye left in 1973 to take over Wyoming and then East Carolina. I guess you could say he played a role in the 1973 title, but he missed most of the 1970s domination by Alabama. So, TnM you should use better material when you're trolling.

Lets see Punt Bama Punt was followed with Auburn getting their arse whipped for 9 consective years. Then we sent you all Pat Dye to teach winning football to Auburn.

Kick 6 was followed by what? An arse kickin'. Bama wins are decisive not miracles from God or in some cases the officials.

How old are you? I remember those days and Bryant did not need Dye for anything other than a position coach. Truth is he taught Dye and Dye had to teach Auburn how to win. Just like Muschamp learned from Saban and now he goes to Auburn. To be so critical of Alabama you all sure snap up our coaches, Dye, Muschamp, Oliver , Johnson and Lance Thompson.? Alabama doesn't seem intrested in Auburn ex coaches.
